I've playing this game for a while with my membrane keyboard and i want to make the jump to a mechanical keyboard. But i saw in videos that some use a keypad to play osu!. When i looked a the prices of these keypads, when i change the price to the currency of my country ( shipping included), these keypads cost the same as a cheap mechanical keyboard ( redragon k552 for reference).

So i dont know if its better to buy a a keypad that i know that is made to last, also is less maintenance, and having the possibility of chaging the switches in the future, just to play osu!. Or buying a whole cheap mechanical keyboard, that wont last as much ( im a student, so i write a lot).

ive seen also cheap keypads on ebay, but idk, those dont give that much confidence. if anyone has one tried one, pls tell me the experience .

Whatever YOU like and whatever YOU can afford. It all depends on how you get used to it. Take Rekytgon and BTMC for example: Both god stream players, Rekytgon using a stock keyboard which rattles alot but got a 1x 1sb on yomi yori. BTMC uses a fully custom keyboard and is still a god at streams and got a 1sb on yomi yori with it. It all depends what you want to do with the keyboard and getting used to it.

Hope this helps influence your choice!

I recommend Glorious GMMK although its not exactly cheap costs around $110 but this keyboard is really good for its price, you can change the switches of the keys and change keycaps its fully customizable and it starts off as a brown switch keyboard but you are able to change it if you like and even if its not cheap I would say its good if you buy a keyboard like this because you will be saving more money in the future, less risk of breaking or not working, easier to clean, and if you wanna change switches you won't need to buy another keyboard.

I put the link of the keyboard here.
