This is related to the slider copying request but has a bit more functionality.

I want to create a way to save a bunch of slider shapes and have them available at all times. To do this, we should have a personal album where you can save sliders from 1 map and use them in another. In addition, this album will allow you to preview the shape of the sliders in your compendium and export your list for other mappers to use.

This would save a ridiculous amount of time thus make mapping easies with a decent amount of unique looking (and fitting) sliders oh so much less time consuming for those (like myself) who struggle to try thinking up nice looking slider art.

Support from me.

Support as well, though I wonder how/where would this be best implemented.

I am imagining a new tab in the editor perhaps after song setup, where all these sliders are saved into and made transferable into any map one goes into.

Good idea +1.

<- Wouldn't use it because it's the fun to make different Slider shapes besides of curvy or wavy Sliders.

However people will find it very useful and it's not that bad. Nice idea.

I vaguely remember such a request a loooong time ago. It would be nice.

That one talks about saving patterns as well as sliders. This one is kinda sorta a duplicate, but they're somewhat different, and they both have star priority so I can't merge... mmph. I'll leave it here for now.

I prefer that request, since it's about circles too. Especially if all notes were separated by new combos: p/1866721

I'd prefer to have a library of combo patterns. I mean, every combo colour pattern is stored and you could add previous patterns from the library. I hope this doesn't sound too messy.
Sorted by the time they appear.

For myself the biggest thing about this king of library/compendium is that, the patterns are nameable and exportable. Just saving them is not that useful since you would have to search for a while to get what you need. In addition, it would be nice if they are also taggable and searchable.

No one is forcing you to use this. If you think this ruins, creativity, don't use it. If you want to complain about the creativity of all other users, you should request this thread be taken down t/37194 because all of these sliders are not creative now.

A tool is as effective as you use it.

Oooh. I had this idea once! Nice to know I'm not the only one thinking about this.
It would be nice.

I have to agree with this. It's a nice idea, but if it gets implemented, people will overuse it imo, and then you'll see the same sliders everywhere, so just imagine putting a new effect in a video editing program, after it's implemented, a lot of people will start using it, and all the videos will get uncreative because they are using it. Also, people might just get lazier. BUT not a bad idea. (it is also nice to see that people have different ideas about how to make e.g. heart shaped sliders)

The main problem that I see with this is that the sliders would have to be modified a lot between maps. This means that such things as blankets would have to be reworked every time. Hell, the SV changes would probably cause a lot of sliders to become scrunched or otherwise not flowing as well.

In my opinion, one might as well spend a bit of time to make a few sliders perfect, then copy them throughout the map. They'd be used in all kinds of different patterns, but they'd look consistent every time. The scale tool and some basic tweaking would make them different when they need to be.
