I was thinking this might have been intentional, but it doesn't make much sense to me. There isn't an immediately obvious way to tell if you've submitted a map, because there's no message.
Yep, find this quite annoying when modding. When I'm testing some patterns and making some changes to see if it's better, if I want to revert the changes by updating to latest version, can't do it unless i go to play mode.
Might as well go and confirm this. What's really jarring is when a map needs an update - you click "Update to latest version", and it updates, but then the icon just disappears and nothing takes its place.
It's not for me. I can't tell the difference between unsubmitted and latest version (unranked). This is really bothersome. Please don't say it is intended to be this way.
