Is it just me, but whenever I try out someones new skin, I tend edit everything to be transparent (spinners / hit x300's etc) and sometimes making the approach circle bigger? Often times I duplicate cursortrail's and paste them onto eachother or even use the cursor itself for the trail to see things better!
