Ok first of all i want to say that this are only my thoughts and my opinion regarding both input devices. I do not have a huge amount of hours in the game and mainly play it for fun since this is not my main game.
I am someone that loves playing fps games such as CS:GO, Overwatch, (reaching Global in CS and peaking Grandmaster in OW) and BR games such as Apex, Pubg, and Warzone. I started playing fps games when i was around 6, or 7 years old (currently 20 years old). Therefore i have alot of experience with Mouse and used it to play Osu! aswell when i first started it roughly 3 1/2 years ago. I never really played it actively back in 2016 until i started putting more and more time into this game roughly a year ago. I always wanted to try playing this game with Tablet since i saw many players using it even though i am pretty consistent with mouse. I rarely submit scores since i only play this game when waiting in a queue in another games e.g Overwatch.
So roughly 2 weeks ago i decided to give tablet a try and found a really good deal on a New Wacom CTL-480 for 30 euros (Germany). After trying different grips, and tablet areas i found something that i was comfortable with. I was able to get into the tablet pretty fast (still not comparable to what i was able to do with mouse though). The problem i face with tablet is that no matter what i do there is either a massive amount of input lag, or very little input lag but the cursor is shaking alot (only occurs when hovering but i find it more comfortable with the tablet so dragging is not really an option). I tried the hawku drivers, the devocub version, opentablet driver, and the wacom drivers but nothing really is comparable to the smoothness i have on mouse which isn't really surprising since the mouse i use has almost 10x the polling rate that the ctl 480 has (Logitech G Pro Wireless). I like the freedom of movement you have with a tablet but the fact that i cant find drivers that are lagless and have no cursor shake really bothers me. I even thought about just selling the Tablet and continuing playing with mouse. However im going to give tablet a little more time before i decide though.
Has anyone here had the same experience? Is it really just a matter of getting used to the tablet? And do you prefer Mouse or Tablet and why?
