The problem with comparing 2 players in general and ESPECIALLY 2 players from different time periods is that #1 everyone is better at different skills so there really is never going to be A BEST player in any rhythm game, and since they got #1 in way different time periods the general skill of everyone when cookiezi was much much lower than it was/is now as WhiteCat holds #1. Cookiezi set absolutely insane scores back in the day that near no one could beat, and some are still unbeaten years later, meanwhile current time Whitecat also has some scores that only a few people can compete with.
Long story short it's hard to compare the 2 since they have different skill sets, and general overall skill only increases as time goes on, there's both great players in their respective skills and ways, but when it comes down to it, it's honestly just subjective 90% of the time.
