Lately I started mapping a taiko beatmap, with the song of Kikuo's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qV6q_87qx3Q&list=PLT8EoBWkMEo-e1qi0v_oXpQJXeRUOCMSU&index=300) Well, after I tried to make a beat consisting every sound, it've gotten very hard to continue, so Im here to ask you some tips and tricks inside taiko beatmapping :> If there is another discussion open for this I'd kindly appreciate if you can redirect me to that one.

first of all, necropost?

second, what is the post above even saying? taiko mapping is mainly based around:
  1. pitches (high pitch = katsu/blue note, low pitch = don/red note)
  2. knowing how to manage patterning (easier when you know how to play taiko: for example, a ddkkd pattern is more comfortable than a dkkdd pattern)
  3. improvisation (essentially overmapping)
there are some minor things such as SV manipulation and certain rules/guidelines but it's mostly what's in this list i just mentioned
