"Currently streaming" marker next the the name

What if there could be a small red dot next to your name in chat and in the F8 menu when you're streaming? It could be either manual and/or through a streaming website account connection. It would notify others that their messages could be seen publicly and would notify potential viewers that the player is streaming.

That's not needed as a twitch/youtube/etc follow would be sufficient

But you can use the connection between osu and streaming service to add an option to go to their stream via menu you get when you click their name.

that assumes either OP is only looking at users they already would want to follow, or that OP wants notifications for streams on the respective platform (or both). sounds like a useful feature to me but I'm not sure if osu wants to integrate a bunch of social-media-ish features like this

Nah, what I meant was

OP proposed osu! notifying potential viewers that the player is streaming. Why would you need osu! notifying when, for example, you can subscribe to the player on the streaming platform directly?

I didn't mean as a notification, just that it would notify/show/signal/convey to the person seeing the dot, that this player is live, not just AFKing alt-tabbed. Just a small red dot was the request.
