I'm kind of just wondering what the best keyboard for Taiko is.
Ive heard that the BFKB113PBK is really good for Taiko but I cant find it available anywhere.

It is only on japanese Amazon, if I remember it correctly. For me, mechanical keyboard was a huge boost. I switched to gx red (pretty similar to MX Cherry Red) logitech switches keyboard from my membrane. Red switches provide you speed (like, really, you can play higher BPMs way easier). BFKB113PBK has very short actuation distance, that why it is so good to play on DT and HR with it. Nobody can really say what is best for you, you can try to buy it from japanese amazon, but I recommend to try mechanical keyboard out first.

imo kb is just personal preference and I really don't know which kb is superior to other. If you're playing with a laptop keyboard, stop doing it and get an external keyboard instead before you destroy your own laptop keyboard.

Mecha seems like it would last longer and it's easier to repair but personally I used a 25€ membrane for years and only recently the Z key stopped working but I changed it anyway because I found out there was an issue when pressing too many keys at once, some keyboards in fact don't allow you to press more than 4 keys at once so if sometimes you like to play mania, it will be impossible to play 5K (or anything higher) properly with a limited keyboard like that. However, mecha has a delay issue of the physical kind, in the sense that they keys are deeper and you've to use more force compared to membrane, it's possible it will feel harder to use in the start. There're some touch keyboards too, they work just like a tablet (they look like one too), in theory they should be the most precise and easier to use but in practice the lack of a stronger feedback on your fingers can be a disappointment, I haven't tried one yet but I'd like to. If you're used to play rhythm games on tablet though you'll probably be fine.

There is definitely no "best keyboard." There is however a keyboard that feels comfortable to you and makes you play better. You just have to find what you like. Personally I used to play on a garbage keyboard that was years old and some of the keys would get stuck, but I managed to do well. So I bought a new keyboard with some easy to press and kind of silent keys. Any keyboard with easy to press keys and doesnt jack up your inputs should be good. Mechanical types seem to be the go to for rhythm games.

just as the others said. you probably think it does more than it actually does. i also played with a garbage keyboard for years. then i changed it. i didn't really notice a real difference. now i changed it again to a ducky miya pro sakura edition with cherry mx silent reds. not really much of a change either. i like it slightly better but most importantly i can mash the keyboard at night without other people getting angry lul. so silent switches, build quality and design ended up more important to me than anything else which didn't do anything for me.
