Best improvement guide?

I'm relatively new to Osu, although my recent plays don't show an accurate measurement of my gameplay as I mostly play signed out, are there any straight forward improvement guides I can use?

Currently I can obtain an A-S on 3 stars consistently but I feel as if I'm not improving. At my level should I just focus on playing for fun? And maybe not take things as serious? But on the other hand I feel challenged to improve a lot more, quicker.

----

Are there any specific types of maps I should use as well?

Thanks.

Almost
You literally just started playing so basically anything you do will help you improve. I would suggest reading the pinned topics though to get you started

It's different for everyone.
As a guide author myself I naturally recommend my own guide but it's just one approach out of many. And if you take my skill as a measurement of quality, it's not very successful although there are players who used it who got far better than me.
Talent is real in osu! as well as it pushes the boundaries of physically possible things, so you never know.

I'll give the benefit of the doubt in your statement in which you say you can get A - S on 3 stars

If you never increase the difficulty of the maps you play you'll never improve. Instead aim to do maps out of your comfort zone,

I recommend that you start playing low 4*

he literally started yesterday doing 4* is pointless

just "play more" but,
play outside your comfort zone but not too outside, challenge yourself, get good at something which you're bad at, etc.

"Although my recent plays don't show an accurate measurement of my gameplay as I mostly play signed out". I've got a lot more play time than stated in my profile, don't worry. :D

I'll take the advice and start playing low 4* maps. Appreciated!
