Hi,
I think that for the most part, the beatmap moderation system works quite well. The mods and SP requirement make maps ready for ranking before being looked at by BAT. There are a few flaws in my opinion. There is not enough incentive to mod other mappers' maps. Earning kudosu stars isn't really much for the amount of effort that goes into modding, since the star priority of a map doesn't have much influence on the ranking process until the map is bubbled. Sometimes, it may be difficult for experienced mappers to get useful mods, making the process of getting the mods difficult and hindering the ranking process for them. I think that the current system with mod posts is great since it is flexible and leaves room for the modders to mod in their own style and format. (I'm not sure how I'm supposed to talk about the modding system independent of the ranking system, since they are so closely linked.)

Thanks!
