Cecilthemos inspired me to take a crack at making a FF beatmap.

You might find it a liiiiitle tough. Only a little. :p

Update:

I've added a normal mode for the less nutty. Made necessary fixes. Also lengthened the first section of hard mode with moar beats.

Wow, I inspired someone...
anyway to the beatmap, the spacing is a bit fast, I was only able to keep up since I already know the song very well. And at the beginning there is a huge section of beats that are on the same spot, and a few of the beats are timed differently. Nothing else I can see really wrong with it, except, for the background, try to resize it so the bottom of the select screen isn't cut off at the bottom.

Thanks for the feedback. :)

I changed the background and fixed the beat spacing so it should become more manageable.

There's no background in the new version, you have to click the "Force Re-Upload Full OSZ" button or whatever for the new one to get in.
Edit: Nevermind, I only updated from in-game, it looks fine if you re-download the whole thing.

The timing sounds pretty good, but by the looks of it, you've done the timing manually. Kudos to you for being able to match up the notes so closely without beatsnapping, but it's really not a good idea.

There's a few spots (sliders in particular) that don't quite match up, and using beatsnapping usually helps with slider length. Though Nobuo has a lot of off-beat notes in his works. Anyhow, I'm hearing:

BPM: 168
Offset: 1,230

Also, the first break seems to appear unnaturally. It's like you're going balls-first into the song, getting the hang of it, and someone takes the controller away for a few seconds. That, and there's a bit of a delay before the break actually comes in, and it drains my HPs. I like my HPs ;_;

Still it's quite a fine piece of work.

EDIT: Update! Tried the new version of Hard. It's still effin' tough (I died thrice trying to get through it) but it's a pretty solid piece of work. I don't think you need to mess with it any more. Ready for ranks in my opinion.

As for normal, it's also quite solid. People will argue that 2.0 is pretty fast slider velocity for a normal difficulty, so you may want to slow them down and readjust them. I think the first break sounds like it would be better coming in a bit later, at 32:65 instead of the current 30:33. You know, just to finish off that one "block" of the music. This is just me talking here.

Ooooh...almost forgot about this. :o

I've slowed down the slider velocity to 1.70, and extended the first section a bit on normal. Also fixed that little delay before the first break on hard.
