Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai( "We Still Do Not Know the Name of the Flower We See That Day"),also known as Ano Hana, is an animation made by Japanese animation company A-1 Pitures. It was on air in Japan Fuji Televison in April 14th, 2011. It's a heart warming ghost story awkwardly told of childhood and moving on and a ED that sounds great. I found it surprising for OC to be devoid of a thread like this.

I found myself very similar to Yukiatsu, except I don't dress up as females. I actually concentrated more on Yukiatsu and Tsuruko more than Jinta on later episodes, but was surprised how Tsuruko cut her hair.

I didn't cry on the last episode when they shouted they found Meiko, I actually feel happy for them. It's Menma's sacrifice, that they all have moved on.

Gotta love the "WcDonalds" and "Nokemon".

Fact: Meiko's mother, Irene, is of Russian decent, with white hair, therefore, Meiko has inherited her mother's white hair.

8/10.

aside from the ending which i thought was ok (some would think otherwise); Anaru is hot. jk.
anyway, i still think that jinta is an a-hole who couldn't move on a "decade old?" tragedy.

I cried lol even if it's supposed to be happy.

9/10 too

Memna was still enjoyable despite being a Mary Sue.

The ending was kinda manipulative crybait but the rest of the show was astoundingly mature for its age bracket.

Great anime, i cried at the end too.
And i loved Anaru.

10/10.
I cried for a week after watching this. Episode 9 was just.. so sad. I cri evri tim. Yukiatsu is my favourite because he's the trigger to the entire story; at least I'd think so...

Agreed. While some parts were little disagreeable (Nokemon /facepalm) it is pretty solid.

Its only flaw was its awkward plot structure. The last episode ruined it, it looked like a soap drama when they all cried in the last episode. Character development was excellent though.

Jinta is like a reflection of Tomoya. Adventurous? Check. Bad student? Check. Mother's dead and has a depressed father? Check.

I laughed at this entire anime, it was so rushed that I couldn't help but laugh at how they tried to force emotion out of the viewer, that ending was just a pure train-wreck of shoddy storyline work.

Another generic anime/title that took a bland set of characters and tried to push itself too seriously for what could have been much better given the potential it had.

Amp pretty much sums it up and has it by the throat.

Basically, Ano Hana is a pot of steaming tears that try to makes you cry and makes you feel guilty if you haven't.

Overall I thought it was pretty generic. Started and finished the whole season the night before my exam. I'm also pretty weak with the tears so it hit me fairly good. GG AnoHana.

But setting aside comparisons to others, this was perfectly made in my opinion. 10/10

Though, I'm not sure if it's worth rewatching since the main purpose of this anime was to unveil their childhood story.
