awp hasn't posted in this for an entire day...
Is this an admittance of defeat?

Why, I was hoping you would take the bait and present me with the perfect opportunity to make a dramatic return to this argument! If you thought the battle was over, then hang on to your pipe dream because a storm is coming!
I knew you wouldn't give up so easily. And I'm sure you know that
I wouldn't say I won unless you admitted defeat. You never cease to
amaze me in this thread.
In fact, my day was starting to get boring.
Let the argument resume!

That's exactly what I'm saying. The only Phoenix wright memes we've been using

than an argument?

A Phoenix Wright meme, don't you think? And how about the colouring of important phrases? Also familiar?
Also, confusion on my part. Since this is harder to see, allow me to explain. Briefly.
When you spoke of memes up to this point, I thought that you were referring to
the pics we've been using so often. But now that you mention it, that is a meme.
(Memes... I haven't known much about them until now... mostly definition.)

You make it quite clear that some derailment was before this post. Yes, the memes
get consistent from here, but I'm more interested in what else is in them.
...A well-played objection. I commend your efforts, but you are once again reaching for what isn't there. I was merely pointing out that your assumptions were incorrect, by saying, "you did not derail this thread" in so many words! At that point, I made no statement on who derailed the thread, or if the thread had even been derailed at all!
(we need a flashy "Take that!" pic.)
Not there, huh?
Notice,
I hadn't made a statement that I had derailed the thread!Looking at those two posts before my second at the time, I believed I had started what would be a
string of Phoenix Wright references, memes or not!
At that time, I did not think I had derailed the thread, as your first meme was
relevant to the topic. Survivor's post was somewhat off topic, but not enough
to be called a derail.(I'm stating what's been stated again, aren't I?)
The derail, which has been established, was not a complete one until your third post.
But this was due to a
misunderstanding on
your part!awp wrote:

I turn your attention to the following post.

That does not concern the case at hand! Or do you have proof that it does?
Now look at the first line, and see what it implies. He could not find the derailment
you claim to have made in that post. Either that, or he wanted to post some random line
from the game...
That is not true!
TableSlam.wav
He was acting on a Phoenix Wright meme, and arguing that point in an entirely fluent Phoenix Wright manner. Nor was he implying he couldn't find the derailment - he was saying it was irrelevant!
Very true. I had missed that possibility. But that makes me wonder...
Why do you think he said that then?
Is it possible he saw my point before I did?*kicks self for not seeing any of this before*

And furthermore... If you did indeed know at the time that that post was a derailment,
then why didn't you, on that post, say a derailment did not
happen before then at all?!
Hahaha...well, if you weren't such an ameteur, you would know not to give your opponents information, no matter how irrelevant it may appear to be!
strike.wav
Gah! Of course! why didn't I think of that?!
*kicks self harder*
However, I was still able to squeeze what I needed from you.

To post another Phoenix Wright meme here would mean that you believe that this
user truly could solve the original mystery on his/her own! Secondly,
The other users tried to help before this post. To say "I think I could solve this"
after all that is quite the statement, don't you think? Objectionable, even?
Speculation is not fact, and posting another Phoenix Wright meme would make absolutely no implication at all with regards to whether or not I believed he could solve the aforementioned problem on his own. Not only that, it has no bearing on the case!
Speculation? Hardly. This was an
explanation! And I remind you, during that time I was under the impression that a Phoenix Wright
meme was one of those often used pictures.
As for it's relevancy, it's completely relevant, albeit based on incorrect information.
But in the end, you are correct, it is wrong.

Trying to get another Slippery Slope past me, even after the first one didn't work? You're either brave or forgetful.
I'd like to remind you that there is no real merit to what you say here. If you chose to "spontaneously" reference Phoenix Wright, there is absolutely no reason why I might not do the same!
And I'd like to remind you that you were
encouraged, NOT
pulling one out of nowhere! As you've said,
facts, not "
mights"!
And you didn't disprove my first shot, either! Allow me to show you!

I call your slippery slope! To say "Had I not posted, you would have no encouragement!" is to imply that Phoenix Wright memes have never been performed on the internet before, and that you were the first! This is simply not true.
Yes, I am obviously not the first.
HOWEVER!
You yourself admitted that I had influenced you!
And there it ended! If you dropped this line because you thought I was being absurd,
then why didn't you prove me wrong right then and there?
Well
here's your chance!
Tell me,
right here,
right now,
where I am wrong!

*sigh* I stand down from saying I caused the derailment myself.
I now finally realize that the point of derailment was indeed your third post.
To say I was a direct cause was indeed folly.
But there is one thing you cannot deny!
MusicFan wrote:

Time and time again, I ask you! Where is the proof behind this claim! Are you absolutely positive I would not do so out of spontinaety?!
If I were not positive, would I even dare to post this again?
I've answered this back there. Again, I don't want to repeat things in the same post.
(On a side note, it's "spontaneity")

I am an indirect cause!
I remind you that your derailment only happened because of the immediate 3 posts before
AND my first!
tableslam.wav
flash.wav
All of which were either influenced or written by me!
strike.wav
That...that is a far reach! What about the two posts between your first post, and the three preceeding derailment? Were they just a "mistake"? Did they "just not notice you the first time"? Pray tell, what are your thoughts on that, if you seem so intent on grabbing onto what isn't there!
Read more carefully, please.
I said your derailing post was caused by the three before it and my first.
The other two? They had nothing to do with it.
Still on the ground?
Then allow me to show you the ladder in the vines!
I turn your attention back to my previous "theorizing".
And I ask that you consider it not a "
What If", but an
explanation! But it's a little outdated, so I'll redo the entire thing, minus reposting those posts.
(I fear I may be reaching that 60k character limit here...)
The beginning, my first Phoenix Wright meme, and the first in the thread.
A meme, but on topic nonetheless.
The next, your first post in the thread, commenting on how the thread author should
have checked the obvious places, but that we were doing a good thing, trying to help.
After that, timesplitter's post, remaining on topic.
Then, encouraged by my meme, posted a meme of your own, while remaining on topic.
Survivor then posted of his happening. Let me tell you, I will jump off a cliff before I have to
explain how his and my posts are related again.
This was a derail, but
too minor to effect the thread.
Then I posted again, noting that I had either effected or directly caused these two posts.
I knew I had started some sort of Phoenix Wright reference barrage, albeit inconsistent.
Perhaps I should have been clearer on that day...? Too late now.
Then you posted, under the impression I was implying that I had started a derailment.
But I hadn't, and you knew this, so you argued my post.
Once again, I tell you that
I was an indirect cause!
And I further state that a consistency is not required to begin one!
