Suddenly PP and rank jumped up [resolved]

One day I was suddenly playing osu! and I noticed my PP went up to 1516 from 29 before, my accuracy also increased to 97.15% and I'm now ranked 100k places higher than I should be. I know it's not me because I am nowhere near 97% accuracy right now. As you can see on my profile my graph doesn't sync with the rank I apparently am at right now either. I know I shouldn't be complaining but I feel I should report it anyway.



I have no idea what did this.

The problem is that this is abnormal since the rank suddenly jumped from me at 200k to me being at 100k and my pp shot up by about 500 times when I didn't do anything that should make this happen

pp ranking system is very unstable when you are ranked 50k or below. It is quite common to jump in the ranking one day, then lose everything the next day, then jump again... Don't worry too much about it.

Maybe it could be the fact that you achieved a rank in an easier Insane http://osu.ppy.sh/b/202093?m=0 while your other ranks were just Normal and Easy maps?

I'm going to mark this resolved. pp is too complex for anyone who hasn't had access to its code directly to judge potential issues. As far as anyone knows vast jumps in rank/pp are natural. The songs at your level will give pp that isn't given to most other players higher than your level. These ranks are more volatile and susceptible to pp changes. Accept it. peppy will find the issues in the pp system.

I randomly got ranked up like 200k 23 days ago. I thought this was weird so i looked at some of my friends profiles but they have the same, even though they have been inactive for a while. Does anyone know why this happened??

I suddenly jumped in rank too, it went up almost 100k about 28 days ago. I've been inactive for a while too, dunno why?

Umm is it normal to move from 3_000_000 to 1_600_000 in 1 day while inactive??? Also got like 30 pp...
