Adding videos to beatmaps

I'm trying to add an mp4 file to a beatmap as its background through the "Background Image/Video" option. However it doesn't work and it just replaces the background with another default Osu! wallpaper. How can I actually get the mp4 to show up?

before adding video, the video must be muted. i think its because theres still audio attached in the video. and i think .wav is the ideal format

Muted or not, a video will still show up.

To actually show it to the editor, go to "View" --> "Show Videos"
