For some reason, any videos won't work, and when I tried to run the videos from the osu folder, I went to a microsoft help page that only suggested to change my internet settings to default, but they are already on default.... >.>
anyway, could anyone help me with this problem?
(yes, I know this isn't really a bug, but I need help. D: )

Do you have any video codecs?

If not, i (and peppy, i think) advise using the Combined Community Codec Pack (CCCP) which can be found at http://www.cccp-project.net/

Do you have FFDshow? If you don't, install that. You can also try the K-Lite Mega Codec pack, which I prefer since it actually gets updated once in awhile.

CCCP prevails, thus giving me a speed boost :D

T'is in the Bug Reporting and Troubleshooting Guide thread. I think CCCP is currently the best thing out there.

Or at least it was a year ago when I got it @_@

Gragh, I keep getting this error! But in this case I'm -pretty- sure I have the codecs.

I installed K lite, but it didn't play properly. Added ffdshow to the mix, no go. Added CCCP, still same problem. So I uninstalled them all and installed CCCP again. Still not working. ._. I can watch the .avi files from the root directory fine using WMP, it just won't play in the game. Halp? :/

I get the same problem. I have ffdshow and can play videos through DirectShow (i.e. WMP) but I can't get any videos to play in Osu, either AVI or WMV files.

I had the same problem, but when I reinstalled FFDShow, I noticed that it asked me what applications I wanted it to work with. Originally, it's just a huge list of application names, but I'm guessing Osu! isn't on there. If you add it to the list (or just select "do not limit"), it should work.

At least, it did for me.

I tried both, neither worked. Maybe I'll just reinstall FFDShow and see if that works.
