[resolved] Wrong sampleset played on CtB slider fruit [confirmed]

Just as the title says.
The problem is with sliders and the hitsounds (I tested with finish hitsound). The hitsounds are getting play differently in the CTB game mode, compared to standard and what is audible in the editor.

Is it reproducible? If so, explain the steps to do so:

1. Have a slider using a normal hitsound sample (via a timing section).
2. Change the addition sampleset to Soft and apply a finish to either a start or end. Settings like this: http://puu.sh/1GRu1, having sample set on "Normal" has the same effect though.

After step 2 is complete, a normal hit with a soft finish should be heard as expected, and it indeed is. That is, in editor and test, and osu standard. However in CTB mode a normal-hitfinish will be played instead of a soft one.
This happens only with sliders (heads and tails), circles are completely fine. I have also tried changing the sample set of the slider itself to Soft however that has no effect on this problem.

I tried changing the sliders' start sampleset (following lolcubes' steps) and I heard a normal hitfinish on both ctb and osu!mania instead of a soft one.


I'm not sure if this is related, but I noticed that if you :
. create a slider in a normal hitsound section
. select it (the whole slider, not its start, end or body - click it once when it's not selected)
. change its sampleset to soft

Its hitsounds plays as :
. normal/normal in the editor and ctb
. soft/normal in standard
. soft/soft in osu!mania
(here by soft/normal for example I mean the start would play a soft hitsound + additions and the end would play normal hitsound + additions).

The sampleset which would allow you to use soft hitsounds on a normal note doesn't work correctly in ctb.

Same thing is happening to osu!mania, which btw sounds a lot different in general compared to osu! standard mode and ctb.

I believe it's happening when you have a normal timing section, but a soft addition. (this can of course be the other way around with soft timing section and normal addition)

It sounds as intended in osu! standard mode but not in ctb and osu!mania.

And one of the most easily recognizable part is this: 02:42:425 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14) -

As in in standard mode it sounds with normalwhistle (the way it's supposed to be) and in ctb it sounds with softwhistle

And as theowest said, I do believe that it has something to do with this

In this map -> https://osu.ppy.sh/s/134151 in ctb diff I have there, this bug does not happen because I can clearly hear the SampleSet in sliders such as this: 00:00: 741 - in the editor I listen that and when I play it too.

Yue asked me in game about it and I agree with him because I can also hear the sampleset in these sliders
idk but I think the bug affects only some editors, but I'm still not totally sure.

iirc, this bug has been fixed on certain build, it got its return on another build...
i'll try to check out first as if i some time to get online tho

Fixed for CtB. Not fixing mania because I can't work with the code.
