Slider Disconnects and auto-failing

Anyone know what causes this? A slider that is impossible to hit or miss, it will not show an X, 50, 100 or 300 at the end no matter what

trying to figure out why this happens but I'm not really sure. I guess it's a bug, but I kinda wanna know what conditions cause it

it's really annoying ;;

and a similar problem, what things can cause a map to auto-fail at the end? I'm pretty sure they're linked, the broken slider and the auto-fail, but I got rid of the broken slider in one map and it still caused it to fail

hmhm

Still would be interested in knowing the exact conditions that cause the slider disconnect, however

There are a lot of clues but everything seems to contradict other things

My discoveries so far:
(note: "disconnected" means that the object is no longer able to be interacted with in any way by the player and will end without a hitburst.)

-Placing a circle during a slider will cause a hidden timer to start ticking. If the timer expires (takes 1.5 to 2 seconds or so) before the slider ends, then the slider becomes disconnected.
-The same thing happens to spinners, and is much more noticeable (the player will no longer be able to affect the spinner in any way.)
-Having even a single disconnected object in the map will cause the player to instantly fail at the end, no matter how much HP they have left.
-The timer's length is based on AR somehow. The higher the map's AR, the less time is on the timer before objects disconnect.
-Only one slider can be held at a time. The slider that came first has priority - if two sliders occupy the same timespace, only the first one can be held until it ends, when the second slider becomes able to be held. Slider starts can be clicked at any time.
-Having a second slider active seems to delay disconnects on the first slider. I haven't explored this very much, and it needs looking into.
