Steam works fine under wine, and now that most Valve games are ported to OpenGL I don't see a official Linux support at some point impossible.

Ive tried stuff over and most of stuff do not work that well, while valve games and some of that stuff work major stuff still is not (sadly, i said it) openGL supported.

No way for GTA IV, Mass Effect 2, all of the stalker games, or all that working well under wine.

It still it is not the gaming platform windows these days is.

What is this stupid argument for?
No matter what light you put it in Windows has much better support for gaming because of developer decisions.
Use whatever OS you prefer for office and dual boot windows for gaming. If you don't need windows to play a game you want to play then don't use it. This is a dumb argument.
