My hand is really big, its as big as my face. Right now I'm using a Logitech G400 gaming mouse and I'm trying to find a bigger one that is good for osu. So please leave a comment below this forum post on advise for getting a new mouse for osu, and no, I do not want a tablet. I was planning on getting a Logitech G600 because it looks bigger than my mouse but I don't really know if it is.

A Picture of the mouse I use.

A Picture of the mouse I might buy.

Be sure to wait a while before following people's advises, the last time someone suggested a crappy mouse and they went ahead and bought it.
Also I think 13 is a better place to ask.

mice with buttons on the side are horrible for osu
Frizz
Your current mouse is really good I used to have one for playing videogames in general including osu!.
If you're looking for an upgrade, try to look at DeathAdder. The shape is overall better than G400 imo, pretty sure you'll love it.

The size of the Deathadder seems to be very close to g400, though, not much bigger.

Also, looking at the measurements given by logitech's site, it seems that the g600 is actually shorter and around the width as g400, I think.
g400: Width 73mm, Length 131mm, Height 43mm
g600: Width 75mm, Length 118mm, Height 41mm

The thing about the Deathadder is that it's purely for gaming. Overall, it's a very high-quality mouse that looks extremely sleek & impressive, but falls short in terms of functionality. It lacks features that other mice have, like more than 2 programmable buttons, or logitech's micro-scroll wheel. @ ~ $60, it's not exactly cheap either.

With that said, it's still an excellent mouse for playing osu!; I'm currently using it and it's been really awesome ^^

G8 is horrible

I highly recommend Steelseries sensei :3

currently using the deathadder black and i can't really say that the tracking is precise

Steelseries Sensei is a flimsy mouse - it could break quickly on you, so be wary if you end up buying it.

I am using MX518, which is almost the same as the mouse you are currently using. I do not regret using this, even if it has some technical cons compared to G400.

I use an old DeathAdder, and the Zowie AM. Let me tell you; thet racking on the AM is superb. The only con tpo the mouse is its size (I also have large hands), an the mouse switches are definitely tough compared to a DeathAdder. I am genuinely better with the DeathAdder, mostly because I can stream (I am mouse only) better, since the switches press so easily. But for jump maps, nothing beats the AM. I've never really found Logitech mice comfortable for my hand, and I like barebones mice.. no extra buttons or anything.

Regardless what you end up with, give it plenty of time to settle in, after all, once you switch, it's entirely different!!!!!

"purely for gaming" what does that even mean? A mouse that's good for playing games is just as good for more general use. Every button on the Deathadder is programmable, and they sell new for $45.

There are only about 2 handfuls of mice that are really good for gaming. Most modern and "gaming" mice are trash with very few exceptions, (such as Zowie AM/1.1 and CM Spawn) so I would highly recommend doing research. This guide is a good starting place: (I know, I know, 'MLG pro durr hurr' but it's still great information):

If you need a large mouse, your two main options are either the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 or the Razer Deathadder (3G model only.) The Logitech G400 is still a wonderful mouse if you want to keep it or get another.

I'm getting a Zowie AM, it's known for having an amazing sensor, although the DPI button is on the bottom of the mouse, i don't see why that should bother you to much.

Features:
* Ambidextrous mouse developed by legendary CS-player Abdisamad ‘SpawN’ Mohamed
* Two thumb buttons on both sides to comfortably serve left- or right-handed users
* Easy to switch between left- and right-hand functionality, no drivers needed
* Optical encoder mouse wheel system for increased durability
* 450 / 1150 / 2300 DPI adjustment
* Adjustable USB report rate 125 / 500 / 1000 Hz
* ZOWIE custom-designed lens for a very low lift-off distance = 1.5 ~ 1.8mm
* Operating system: Win2000/XP/VISTA/7, Mac OS X v10.2 after

Specifications:
* DPI (Dots Per Inch): 450/1150/2300
* Connector: USB
* Buttons: 5
* Length of cable: 2m / 6.6 ft

Measurements:
Length: 125 mm / 4.92 in
Width: 60 mm / 2.36 in
Height: 39mm / 1.53 in
Weight: 88g (without cable)

I'm more recommending this because of the sensor more then anything.

it's a bit of a small mouse i know and you said you had big hands, but it is a great mouse for gaming, generally FPS games, but with that sensor i would recommend it for any game that needs precision.

That's just bad. If you cannot adjust DPI in small increments, then the mouse is bad for this game. It is possible that those DPI are fine for you, but chances are they are not.

I myself use G500 on 800dpi and I really wouldn't change that no matter what (except for mionix naos 5000, at least to try it out).
I wouldn't recommend any Razer mouse because of similar DPI limitations and low build quality (and those damn annoying LEDs), and those which are nice are too expensive.
Since you already have a G400 @OP, I wouldn't recommend changing that to a worse alternative, might need some getting used to though.
Frizz
It's probably its Native DPI. You can change them to any other DPI but it would be interpolated. Same goes with G400 which only had 800dpi and 3600dpi as its Native DPI. Any sensitivity other than 800dpi and 3600dpi are interpolated. But it shouldn't worry anyone unless one is a hardcore gamer and has ability to feel the inaccuracy of the mouse due to interpolated DPI.

mfw mouse he has is better than the one he's planning to buy

That's pretty restricted imo, or I'm just a spoiled brat with my Mionix Naos 5000 s:

I really love the AM, the accuracy difference with the sensor is noticable in Counter-Strike Source from my DeathAdder. While I still prefer the DeathAdder for this gam,e the AM is an incrredible mouse. The low lift off distance is surprising. The numbers don't like, you can maybe lift if the distance of the width of a CD, that's all.

Placebo. The AM sensor is no more accurate than the Deathadder unless you're playing with an absurdly high sensitivity, which no one should.

I experience negative acceleration in CS with th DeathAdder. I do play at high senstivity. Not sure why it's so frowned upon, other than small movements are edgier. They are not impossible, you need finer motor skills to work the same way. I don't like using my whole desk to turn 360 degrees, some people just play different, it's not a matter of "should" or "should not" This isn't worth arguing about, it's just a game after all. if it were a job, I could see why practicing with optimum settings would be the best. I just want to have fun, and I do so with higher sensitivity

It's fine that you don't care and just want to have fun, but that doesn't mean you should give uninformed advice. Are you using a 3G optical Deathadder with up-to-date firmware/drivers? The laser models and the 3.5G model do have sensor issues.
Darkpira7e
Yeah, I have the 3.5G. My old 1st gen DeathAdder is deceased :( I've tired updating the firmware and software to no avail. It only affects me poorly in Counter-Strike, in Osu it doesn't change much at all.

I would recommend this gaming mouse
