I wanted to modify a skin, and instead of the logo of the person whom the skin was made for, put my logo on it. So is that okay to do? (Note: I'm the only one who's gonna use said version with my logo on it and not give the redesign to anyone).

You can do whatever you want with a skin (mix with elements from other skins, modify them, etc.) as long as you do it for your personal use.
You can share your skin as long as you're not posting it in skin's forum (mixed skins not allowed there).
