How do people make various artists maps?

How come some maps have various artists/different songs?

I only seem to be able to add one song and then map it (the same one) in several difficulties... But I never found how to upload multiple songs on the same map like that...

First, open your map files. This can be done through the editor by going to File -> Open Song Folder. An explorer window with your map files will appear.

Secondly, copy all .mp3 files you need into that window. Be sure to name all of them differently.

Then, go to File -> Open .osu in Notepad. An .osu file of the diff you're currently in will be open.

Next, under the [General] section (line 4, to be exact), name the .mp3 filename in the AudioFilename line as the one you want to use in your diff.

Finally, save the file and refresh the editor.
