I think it would be practical to have a seek bar when playing offline with the NF mod. The way I would picture it, you hold down a particular key and the seek bar appears at the bottom(or it could just appear when you pause the game.) Then you can just slide over to the part of the map that always kicks your ass and keep trying it until you get it right.

I'm completely aware that you can seek in the editor, but still I think this would be nice.

Yes, been requested and denied multiple times, just use Test mode if you need to "practice" a certain part.
