osu!direct slower than conventional map download method

I do not mean download speed. I mean the loading of the map into my game. It downloads in seconds which is the same as on my browser, but it takes upwards of 10-15 seconds to actually load into the game for me to play it. Downloading from chrome is faster for me, just dragging the file into my game. Is it an issue with my computer(maybe hardware, but my osu game is on an SSD) or something else?

I know osu!direct is supposed to make things convenient by downloading the maps easily with 1 click but its so slow, does anyone else experience this or just me?

Edit : I have found a solution, hit f5 to refresh the maps everytime it finishes downloading. Not sure if i was supposed to do this from the start but eh whatever.

Could be the issue of having too many maps, which causes osu to have a stroke everytime you refresh your maps

I only have 13000 maps? I don't even think that is a lot.

wait, you drag the file into the game? Did you know in chrome you can just click on the downloaded file in the bottom left and it will automatically take you to osu?

I just got into the habit of dragging it into my game lol
