When I want to make a new beatmap, I keep on finding that it is either 1k, 5k, or 6k. Is there a way to change it so I can map 4k/7k? Thanks in advance.

Go to the difficulty tab and change the "key count" setting.
If you hate the editor you can also simply open the .osu file and set CircleSize.
