What is tech map means?

Hello, I know there are 5 main pattern which are jack, tech, speed, stamina, LN. Idk if i'm wrong but someone told me about this xD

I understand all of the pattern but i dont know about tech. can someone explain to me ?

tech maps are maps with unusual patterns that basically dont fit into any of the patterns you mentioned, which the rating detects as unfriendly to hit.

also, there are other main patterns like handstreams and jumpstreams

Technical maps usually feature some or most of the following characteristics:

  1. Frequent BPM changes
  2. Irregular snappings for notes and / or polyrhythmic patterns
  3. A heavy mix of a variety of jumpstream, high bpm stream, and jacky patterns (and in osu! longnotes)
  4. Bursts or other difficulty spikes
  5. Dump patterns that don't always match 1:1 with sounds in the music
Due to those characteristics, tech doesn't distinguish itself as a "main pattern" in the way jacks or streams would. The same applies to "speed", "stamina", and "LNs". Maps can have those characteristics but they're more presentations of existing patterns rather than their own "pattern".
