So i was playing this song. Trying to improve my old rank and get top 500 rank in the song, but in the end of the song i chocked and failed to FC, i got an A. However, the big problem is, I lost like 700+ pp. -_- Can anyone explain to me why i lost so much pp? ty men.

The only explanation i can think of is because you are not the only one playing osu you know, People will also be improving their scores therefor also gain PP, and since some may earn more than you, then they will surpass you and then you drop in rank, It happens to me also

Yes ty, i think i understand now. Do you have any tips on gaining more pp, because i get ranked top 500 in fairly well known songs, but barely get any pp.
Well you gain PP i think when you reach rank 500+ on a song. Getting into the top 40 if you're able to do that, really boosts it. But really, just performing good on a song will gain you something. try to play with mods also, that increases it by far more than playing without (i recommend Hidden). You also get more PP from playing harder difficulties than from playing the easy ones.
