Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but it did seem the most appropriate.
I am working on a personal project which is a rhythm game/fighting game hybrid and I am using osu! beatmaps for timing data. What I have right now is coming together fairly well, which has led me to consider releasing it in some capacity. This leads me to the question of whether I should associate my project with osu! in some way. For clarification, it is a totally separate gamemode, it simply "supports" (or more accurately parses) the osu file format. Any release will definitely be open source.
Additionally, what is the general stance on repurposing beatmaps?
