There are a few several ideas i wish for the editor to have so mappers can easily see things that could have went wrong with their map, either it's not sounding good or have bad timing somewhere
--
It dosn't sound good to begin with, and i'm not too sure if the community would like it either
--
Idea 1
--
Sound effect Filtering/Selecting:
This one is quite a hard one to explain,
Basically, if you're going with a certain pattern with Hit Sounds and something doesn't sound right at 1 part, The person could filter/hide notes that are not using that hit sound and fix it from there.
--
Idea 2
--
Select within Every x/4 stanza:
If an area of 1 stanza isn't quite what you wanted. and somewhat have a troublesome mouse like i do (where it double clicks when you're not double clicking) Select the option, and where your timing marker is on the timeline it selects from where the previous large white timing snap begins untill the next large white timing snap. And the mapper would be able to handle it from there, obviously. Whether if it comes to Re-positioning of the notes to Adding a different Hit Sound to the notes
--
I'll need opinions on this, Anyways.. The reason i post this is because, some people like me have trouble sound mapping and if this does happen, mapping will be a whole lot easier for some of us. but i don't know that.
If you have an opinion please put some Pros/Cons. about these ideas.

Guidelines:

Keep to one request per topic.
1. I am not sure how useful this will be since you need to hear the surrounding notes when hitsounding. Using bookmarks pretty much solves this issue for me (more effectively than hiding/deleting notes imo). No support.

2. Tbh, I am not eactly sure what you are saying here. Are you saying that you want a whole stanza? You can't do much when selecting a large group of notes. You usually have to select 1 note at a time to solve most things.

Anyway, on request #1, I agree with blissfulyoshi in that it is not necessary. What would be much more helpful imo is if you press a button, it would display all the hitsounds certain notes have, which has been requested somewhere.

i was more thinking of pressing a button to display all hitsounds a certain note has, but only on a dropdown menu because, some people might find it confusing to use the keyboard.

I guess you could ask for a dropdown menu for a note, but would that really serve much of a purpose? If you want to see a single note, just click on it and watch teh right hand panel. If you want to see a group of notes, then sure, you will get a lot of information on screen with all the hitsounds appearing, but what do you do with all of this information? You can sort of see hitsound patterns if you are using a strict pattern throughout, but hitsounds are for hearing.

What if a musical section deviates a little? Will you just keep hitsounding like you always with no regard to this section because your visual cues don't show you the problem. Usually the best way to test hitsounds is by listening to them.

1: Should be mitigated by having visible hitsound markers and pasting of hitsounds. (Both planned)
2: Maybe the tall white ticks can be made a bit "sticky," like grids in some image editors.

like a separate section almost?
