I still play because I always have projects and goals that slowly take me forward.
As long as I see progress and I'm enjoying it, I simply can't quit even if I truly want to sometimes.
The community around osu! has also made that even more difficult, so if I ever decide to quit playing, I think I'll still be around the webpage and that'll only draw me back into playing.
Maybe I should start modding for real to offload all the excessive playing?
e: another thing that's become a huge problem for me is that osu! is pretty much the only game I can still enjoy playing. I've tried several games and I just can't get hooked to any of them. It's like I'm all over playing video games, but not osu!
