Welcome to the second iteration of Canadian Draft Cup, a tournament solely for Canadian players that will use a drafting system for team formation!
We'll be incorporating a upper division & lower division system for more balance and participation!


Congratulations to team Stan Full Area for winning in the upper division and to team 「Seoulsim Carry」for winning in the lower division!




  1. Draft styled tournament
  2. Only Canadian players are eligible to sign-up and participate. An international player currently residing in Canada for the duration of the tournament is eligible to play.
  3. No rank limit, individual sign-ups to enter
  4. ScoreV2 & TeamVS.
  5. 4v4, teams of 8 (subject to change depending on signups)
  6. Upper division & lower division to incorporate as much participation possible
  7. 2 bans per team
  8. Failed scores count
  9. Roll winner = 1st warmup, 2nd ban, 1st pick
  10. Roll loser = 2nd warmup, 1st ban, 2nd pick
  11. QF BO11
  12. SF, F, GF BO13.


  1. This is a 4v4 double-elimination tournament consisting of 8 or 16 teams.
  2. This is an osu!standard tournament.
  3. This is a Canadian-only tournament.
  4. The tournament will be played in ScoreV2.
  5. There will be no rank limit, but not every player signed-up is guaranteed to play.
  6. There will be no group stage in this tournament.
  7. Players will sign-up individually and either be draftable as a player or selected as captain to draft other players.
  8. There will be 8 players per team. (subject to change depending on signups)
  9. All players will be required to join the discord server in order to verify their registrations.
  10. This tournament will utilize a double elimination bracket. Initial match-ups will be determined by random rolling up to 10 times.
  11. Teams will be given the choice to choose their team name and transfer the captain role if desired in the week between the draft and the first round of matches.
  12. All match times will be in UTC.
  13. Each stage will last one week.
  14. Match schedules and mappools will be released on the Monday before those matches should be played.
  15. Reschedule requests must be made 48 hours before the original time.
  16. The Grand Finals will be played with a bracket reset if applicable.
  17. No staff members are allowed to play other than streamers, commentators and graphics designers.
  18. We reserve the right to decline players from participating in the tournament if they do not take on the captain role when assigned without a valid reason, previously have been blacklisted, accounts that previously have failed the osu! staff screening, recently unrestricted accounts, and recently rollbacked accounts.

  7. FINALS: July 11 - July 12
  8. GRAND FINALS: July 18 - July 19


  1. Players that have signed-up are placed in a pool which they have a chance to be selected from during the drafting phase.
  2. The current player cap is 64, which means 8 players per team up to a total of 8 teams. If possible, the player cap will be expanded up to 128 and the amount of teams will also expand from 8 to 16.
  3. The first division draft will start before the second division draft, whoever didn't get drafted from the first division draft will have a chance to get drafted in the second division.
  4. If there is a shortage of players, the player cap will reduce accordingly and players per team will also decrease a result. For example, a player cap of 56 would mean 7 players per team.
  5. On each team, there will be a captain that performs each draft selection for their team during the drafting phase.
  6. If you sign up for this tournament, you are agreeing to potentially being chosen as a captain. If chosen, you will be held responsible for drafting & the team for the remainder of the tournament. However, you may hand over the captain role to a teammate after the draft phase has been completed.
  7. Captains will be chosen by staff members after sign-ups close, with the criteria being tournament results & activity. The last resort criteria for captain choices will be rank.
  8. The 8 / 16 captains will be randomly assigned a number between the amount of teams & captains after signups. (whether it’s 8 or 16.) The captains will then pick one player from the player pool, taking turns in numerical order according to their number.
  9. The draft phase will follow a snake format, which looks like this:
    1st round: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
    2nd round: 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
    3rd round: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
    And so on until every team is filled with 8 players each.
  10. The amount of time for each captain’s selection will be 1 minute for the first three draft rounds, then the time will be bumped up to 2 minutes for the last four rounds.
  11. If you sign up for this tournament you are entering a pool of players to have a chance of either being a captain or draftable player out of every player that has signed-up. Since this tournament has no rank limit, this means you are not guaranteed a spot to play.


  1. The match lobby will be created by the referee, and the team captains of both teams will be invited. The captain is then responsible for inviting the rest of their team. If the captain of a team is not online, the referee will invite any other player from that team, and that player will be responsible for inviting their team.
  2. Teams have a 15 minute grace period to have at least 4 players available to play the match. If 15 minutes pass and a team does not have enough players to play the match, the other team will receive a win by default.
  3. Once all players have joined the lobby, captains will be asked to !roll; the winner of the roll will have the first warmup, second ban, and first pick.
  4. Warmup maps will be allowed for the entirety of the tournament. Each team may select one warmup pick; warmups may not exceed 4:30 total length.
  5. The referee can give host to the players for warmups only. The referee will have host for the entire match after warmups. A team will select a map by naming the map in the multiplayer chat, and the referee will select it.
  6. Each team has 2 bans per match. Banned maps are effectively removed from the mappool for the duration of the match and are not allowed to be picked. A team is allowed to ban 2 maps from the same mod pool.
  7. Teams have 2 minutes to select a map; if they fail to choose in the allotted time, the map choice will pass to the other team. This will have no effect on the order of picks afterward.
  8. There is no restriction on map selection order; teams may select any available map at any time regardless of mod.
  9. On freemod picks, at least two players from each team must use a mod.
  10. Allowed mods are Hidden, Hard Rock, Flashlight, and Easy.
  11. Mods are allowed, but not required, on Tiebreakers.
  12. Once the map choice is locked in, players will have 2 minutes to ready up. The referee will start the match when all players are ready. If the 2 minute timer ends, the referee will force an !mp start 15 command, and the match will start with whoever is in the lobby.
  13. The winner of a map is determined by which team's four scores add up to a higher number. Basically, that just means failed scores count.
  14. The "Easy" modification will have a buff to its multiplier from 0.5x to 0.75x.
  15. If all players on a team are failing at the same time (team fail), common sense will be applied: if the team that failed was clearly (very obviously) going to win the map, they will get the point; if it is at all ambiguous, the other team will get the point; if the fail occurred in the first few seconds, the map will be replayed.
  16. In the case of a disconnection, common sense will be applied: if proof exists of the disconnected player's score (or a rough estimate of their hypothetical score if they finished the map), it will be added to their team's total score; if it is at all ambiguous, the other team will get the point; if the disconnection occurred in the first few seconds, the map will be replayed.
