Made on an about 6-hour one fell swoop.
Ate macaroni casserole and drank few energy drinks during making.

Overall, great map! One of the best I've played in a while, actually.

[Hyperspace]
I think you should lower the drain rate. It seems like it's very hard to recover from half health, even with perfect play, during some of the sections that have less notes, like 00:59:140

An offset of 1540 does sound right when you slow down the song to 25% and listen to the metronome ticks, but automode tends to noticeably lag behind the song. In particular, the hitsounds for the cymbal crashes always sound late (esp. 03:15:940), and repeat sliders seem to hit the reverse late as well. In general, I'd say that for smoother play, the offset should be somewhere around 1520-1530.

Note: 1/4 beat repeat sliders sound much better than longer repeat sliders at 1540 because of the swing rhythm. The delay for the slider to reach the reverse symbol due to the late offset actually matches the actual rhythm of the song. Basically, whenever you have triple patterns here, you use three even 16th notes, whereas the actual song uses three swung 16th notes.

Anyway, this is just the reason for why 1/4 beat repeat sliders tend to reverse at the right time at 1540 offset, but longer repeat sliders don't.

01:08:590 (1) - Delete this circle. Normally it wouldn't be a problem, but since this is right after a spinner, and since it's also stacked on slider, the timing for this circle is hard to get right.
02:06:340 (1) - The start of this slider forms a triple with the previous slider and circle, so it should be moved closer to them to keep the same spacing pattern you've been using for triples. Plays a bit awkwardly the way it is now.
03:14:740 (3) - I really like this finish here.
Actually, the whole section from 03:04:970 (1) to 04:01:820 (1) is probably my favorite in this map.
03:27:940 (1) - Same issue as 02:06:340 here, but this one is easier to read as there isn't a huge slider before it.
04:48:940 (3) - This stack is a bit awkward. I'd space this circle out a bit more.
04:53:140 (1) - I've personally never been a fan of two spinners within 10 seconds of each other, especially during Kiai. I can see how it fits the music, though.
05:36:340 (4) - The big star into spinner pattern here occurs mid-phrase, so it doesn't seem to follow the flow of the song. Things like this I think are best used during a fill or at the end of a phrase for some sort of dramatic finish, but you've used the pattern at 05:39:340 for that.
05:56:740 (1) - The stream here overmaps a bit. You could try removing circles 6 and 10 out of this combo for a spaced stream that follows the rhythm of this section better, sort of like what you've done with the pattern before this, but overall the stream is fine.
08:11:740 (4) - The spacing for this circle comes off as a bit deceiving. The distances between 1 and 2, 2 and 3 in this combo are roughly the same as the distance between 3 and 4, but 3 and 4 are 1/2 beats apart whereas 1, 2, and 3 are 1/4 beats apart, making 3-4 transition a bit of an anti-jump.

I will just tell you something, you actually have the difficulty Hyperspace that is already pretty well constructed & it's a 8 mins song. So why doing other difficulties? It will takes you alot of time to be able to rank this map because the modders will eventually be really lazy.

•00:03:928 (1) - It would be better if you have no overlaps. I meant that, this slider is obviously touching the previous slider and it looks bad. Just move the slider (1) a bit, so it won't overlap the previous slider. Make sure to rearrange your next objects to have the same spacing. About overlaps: 00:05:128 (4,5,6) - this is pretty good, but the example I've pointed you isn't a good overlap
•00:17:428 - What about adding a whistle here? It will fit with your previous hitsounds and also, this slider has no hitsounds. So it makes it quiet/empty.
•01:11:128 (1) - I really think it would be better if you stack this slider with the two previous circles because its a 1/4 and having like a little jump after it's broking the spacing. (Hope you understand what I mean)
•01:38:728 (3,4) - Erm, I don't really like the sound in the blue tick. It just make it.. really odd! I highly recommend you to change it like that. It will sound better and also, make sure to rearrange your hitsounds because if not, it will be way more odd. 01:56:128 (3,1) - This is a perfect example of what I mean.
•01:49:228 (4,5,1) - These objects should have the same spacing, to be honest. You have two options: 1: Stack them ; 2: Separate them with the distance snap.
•03:33:928 (5) - What do you think on adding a new combo here? Right now it seems to be very long so it would fit well to add a new combo.
•03:57:328 - Have you forgot to add a clap here? If not, you should add one because it will keep the consistency with your claps.
•04:06:928 - OK, same thing here but I understand why you haven't added one because of the sound in the song. Actually, it will fit pretty well if you add one to: keep your consistency and it will emphasize the sound and for an example, you've added one at 05:23:728.
•04:09:328 - I would have added a clap here to keep the consistency but, its too loud. Add a whistle here instead c:
•07:22:528 (5) - Add a clap here as I told you for 03:57:328 and the point below.

I will be honest with you.. you've putted alot of effort into it and I really enjoyed to look at your map. Also, your mapping skills are better than this summer when you asked me to mod your other Globular map.

Helix re-added as a "pendingholder". I no longer intend to finish it, nor I want to get it approved. So it's there just so I can have this in pending instead of WIP.

(had small talk with Loctav, who said it should work)

I know, I didn't have started, though I can suggest you to not delete the Helix and complete it by doing a collab with other mappers. So more people can play the map!

  1. It's better to use 200 BPM, probably. there are some 1/16 notes
  2. 1/16 notes will probably be said by some next MAT/BAT modding. CxU Nagareboshi's map was unranked because he used 1/4 to map a mixed 1/4-1/6
[Hyperspace]
  1. 00:19:378 (3) - It does end at 00:19:715, which is 1/16
  2. 00:20:015 (x) - Another 1/16 note. Make this slider like this (and make it end at 00:20:090)
  3. 00:27:628 (5,6,1) - The fact the part after has less spacing and this has larger spacing, with the fact there are no discernible reason to have a larger spacing in a single part of it, make it difficult to guess of. Please use a single spacing all over this soft stream
  4. 00:27:928 (1,2,3,4) - Using two sliders seems to flow better
  5. 00:38:915 (x) - 1/16 drum note. Add ?
  6. 01:02:428 (2) - It's 1/16 longer
  7. 01:19:828 (4) - Try to make this slider shape like this? It should seem better
  8. 01:26:578 (1) -End it at 01:26:915(1/16 note)
  9. 01:27:028 (2,3,4,1,2,3) - They should all be 1/16 longer
  10. 01:28:528 (3) - Instead of making it repeat, use a x0.63 Slider Velocity section (if not applying^, use a x0.5 section instead of the repeat)
  11. 01:47:728 (3) - Try to not overlap?
  12. 01:50:128 (2) - You can make this a slider that end in 01:50:728 and move the spinner 1/8 or 1/4 later. (to completely follow that female voice)

Here comes the mod.


[General]

- Set audio lead-in at least 1672 to make delay before start 2 seconds, which is recomended minimun. I suggest to set 2172 (+ current offset and total 2.5 seconds of delay before start) Which is perfect.
- useless .osb file in folder.
- Colours set is like an tasty icecream, but not a space, it does not give such atmosphere. And the background itself isn't the best one, you can find better image of space. I'd highly suggest to use this:

I kinda don't get the meaning of such wide spacing between 1/4. Song goes smoothly, so map it smoothly.

00:07:828 (2) - overlaps hp bar by some small amount of pixels.
02:06:328 (1) - overlaps hp bar by some average amount of pixels.

00:16:228 (3) - undreadable, even new combo wouldn't help. reduce spacing.
01:27:928 (1,2,3) - here goes volume diminuendo, so make also make spacing diminuendo, why not? It'd fit much better with song.
01:29:578 (1,2) - again kinda unreadable pattern
01:36:928 (5,1) - same. And so on . . . don't gonna post every 1/4 jump.
01:50:128 (2) - to match with song start spinner from here: 01:50:878, and use at 01:50:128 - a single note.
03:10:528 (4) - not sure if it is acceptable, it has no difference with previous slider, even colours are same.
05:35:728 (2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - i don't get the point of such jumps.
05:47:428 (2) - this one, i guess, is unrankable. You used tones of such 1/4 slider jumps before. Player would think, that it is standard 1/4 jump. Also the second repeat is almost invisible, which makes pattern logically wrong for players.
06:11:728 - add a note, or make slider longer by 1/4.
07:09:328 (3,4) - i have no words, i have only 1 question: "WHY?". It sounds bad, it plays bad and looks bad too, why? what is the point?
08:15:928 - reduce volume of hitsound.

[Helix]

Not finished yet. Anyway i haven't found any problems there.

Also to the thing at 07:09:328 (3,4), I have no idea where it came from. But especially that is normalized now.

01:04:228 (1,2) - I feel a little empty here. This is a short part between two breaks(consider spinner as a break), so I think pause like this doesn't make much sense. There are two solutions: one is add notes at 01:03:928 and 01:05:128, the other is use rhythm like this:
01:06:328 (1) - I expect a note (01:06:178 (3)) at this point. So you can try to start the spinner at 01:06:478 and then add a note at 01:06:328.
01:22:528 (3) - I think this slider can be curved to fit 01:23:128 (1) better:
01:29:578 (1,2) - the jump between the two sliders is a little of sudden, since it is a start of new stanza here and the rhythm you use is not very clear to player during the first trail. I think you can add jump between 01:29:878 (2) and next note since there is music change there.
01:36:928 (5) - there are no clear rhythm like 3/4 beat to support this slider, and I feel weird when play it. Also, a beat at 01:37:228 is ignored. So I think a 1/2 slider or something else will be better.
01:38:728 (3) - same as above.
02:04:828 (2,3,4) - I suppose that if you put these note like this, they will have a better flow:
02:30:928 (2) - I think you should add jump before and after this note, or this part will be too easy, and boring.
02:57:328 (3) - there should be something at 02:57:628 imo. This long slider plays weird.
03:59:428 (2,3,4) - imo. use a regular triangle instea :x d is better, both in aesthetics and flow:
04:15:028 (2,4) - they are overlapped a little. Moving 04:15:628 (4) down a little will fix this.
04:31:528 (3) - if the slider is more curved, it will look much better. The main reason is that previous sliders((1) and (2)) are much curved than (3), so you'd better to keep consistent.
07:36:328 (3,2) - overlap too.

If you only want 1 diff in this map, just rename [Hyperspace] to [Marathon], then you can send your map to pending with only one diff, otherwise you need at least 2 diff before you put your map into pending, even if your map is go for app

I find nothing much wrong with this, just one thing
05:40:228 - 06:37:528 - Nearly no hitsound in this part, consider adding some, maybe use some custom hitsound
