Hi there.
I am mapping something of considerable length, and my workflow is: I either map for a period or set BPM for the rest of the map (since it's irregularly timed). Now, as I set BPM mindlessly, after I find that all my notes are disordered. When changing BPM, it considers ALL notes, is what I'm presuming. As the title suggests, it's because of the pink button on the Timing Tab.
Please change it so that it's default is to be OFF, not ON. It might catch people off. And when it happened to me, it removed some part of the beginning of my map for some reason.
As it is right now, ON as default, new mappers may sure not need unnecessary adjustments. But they are encouraged to simply map simple BPM. And for more experienced mappers, only BPM and mapping may only cross their minds. The button is also almost really ignorable in size.
However, if it is OFF as default, the problem will not occur to experienced mappers. And when new mappers change BPM and find that objects aren't snapped, they may simply ask #modhelp. And there shouldn't be much trouble if nothing moves. Nothing will disappear unlike when the toggle is ON.
Another alternative could be to only have then red line adjustment consider the following section. Then nothing would be hard for experienced timers and new mappers.
Maybe this is out of frustration of having to remap twice, and it's a really small thing, but also genuinely I'd like to raise the question. Thanks circle clickers.
(Yes, I checked other posts and from what I gather, this is supposed to be fixed back then???)
