I've already searched beforehand and no one has made any suggestions regarding ranking/approval criterias for osu!mania, so I thought I'd post this. Just voice out if you have your own opinion or if something isn't right.

General Criteria
- Same as osu! standard maps for most of the part.
- Needs at least a 4K chart and another (or two) chart(s) regardless of # of keys.
- Both hands must be well-balanced most of the time (70% or more of drain/play time).
- Drumrolls that don't use the first finger and/or thumb for one hand are unrankable (may be for approval if used correctly).

Easy Ranking Criteria
- In level comparison, it should be < Lv9 or 10 in O2Jam and < Lv5 or 6 in DJMax/IIDX.
- Notes per second should be 5 or under.
- Can press at a maximum of 3 notes at a time, but never frequently (with certain exceptions).
- Streams and drumrolls are not allowed.

Normal Ranking Criteria
- In level comparison, it should be Lv10 - 16 in O2Jam and Lv6 - 8 in DJMax/IIDX.
- Notes per second should be 13 or under. (may need to be clarified)
- Can press at a maximum of 5 notes at a time.
- Single streams and drumrolls are fine, but must not be too frequent (with certain exceptions).

Hard Ranking Criteria
- In level comparison, it should be Lv17 - 25 in O2Jam and Lv9 - 11 in DJMax/IIDX.
- Notes per second should be 22 or under. (may need to be clarified)
- Can press at a maximum of 6 notes at a time.

Insane Ranking Criteria
- In level comparison, it should be Lv26 - 40 in O2Jam and Lv12 - 14 in DJMax/IIDX.
- Notes per second should be 35 or under. (may need to be clarified)
- Can press at a maximum of 6 notes at a time, but can press up to 7 for emphasis on endings/certain parts.

Approval Criteria
- In level comparison, it should be > Lv40 in O2Jam and > Lv14 in DJMax/IIDX. There should also be a limit to prevent overpowered charts from approval.
- Notes per second should be 45 or under. (may need to be clarified)
- Can press 7 notes at a time or even more.

*The "notes pressed at a time" is to prevent ghosting in most keyboards that can't press 4 or more keys at once unless the controls are configured correctly. You can use your arrow keys on the keyboard as an example when playing Stepmania (use the Test Input feature).
