If there's a watermark in a map's BG

About watermarked BG:

I don't think it unrankable, but it may affect playing, or annoy players. In fact, I haven't played any beatmap whose BG has a watermark. But when I find a BG for a map, I always find those picture has been watermarked.

Should I worry about a BG's watermark? What's your attitude to a watermarked BG?

as you already said, such a thing annoys players. actually, probably more so to mappers, out of wanting the best for their beatmap. i'd bet even a small one at the bottom corner for a insanely clean background would scare them.

it's better to have the bg watermarked, as removing the watermark is kind of illegal. if it's a BIG HUGE FUCKING watermark in the middle of the screen, then don't use it. but if it's at the bottom corner, then it's fine. hollow wings uses their own bgs, which have their watermark on it.

if the watermark makes the pic look like shit its bad otherwise i dont care

a watermark can also help you find a cool artist, although in this case their pixiv is also linked in the description
