Name colour change

Hey there, this isn't really a osu-focused suggestion, rather a cosmetic feature. I have bought osu supporter for 1 year and I've realised that the colour change for you name goes from white to yellow. Don't get me wrong, I like this idea but I also feel like it would be cooler if we could customize the colour to our preference. I think it would look cooler on the whole and maybe also your name on the leaderboards of maps should change accordingly too. This really isnt a required change but thought it would be an interesting feature 😁

i think osu lazer has different name colors? idk i forgot. however, having variety of colors would mean that more important people like peppy and the GMT stand out less, so i dont think its good to give normal people colors

I haven't looked into osu laser much so I'm not sure but you have a good point. Maybe just having the ability to choose from a few colours instead of full variety? Also, I was referencing mainly supporters of osu as they already have their colour changed to yellow.

Maybe not a fully customizable name color but maybe implement the same system, for example Twitch, does for those who subscribe to channels. The badges aren't fully customizable but they change over time. I'd say a preset definite color for each phase of supporter badge would be cool for the community. Fully customizable options do two things though.

A

Creates more havoc in the game chat by throwing 100 different colors in your face.

B

Creates too many possiable scenarios where people set a color really close to a GMTs' or peppy's name color and they possaibly even try to imitate a GMT.

I'll never understand the obsession with name colors, do you all want some rainbow clusterfuckery on your screens or something?
I would settle for profile page main color etc...

I could never want anyone to have some crazy rainbow garbage color to their name with a gradient. I meant just like how GMT's and supporters have a color in chat, let more long term supporter have a differnt color than others just to denote devotion the game game. Just a nice little flair for them.
