anyway, advice i can give is: try training to talk with people you know. it's harder to learn with total strangers, since finding topics to talk about is much harder.
if you talk with osu-pople, you can maybe talk about an achievement they got (such as mapranks, ranked maps, or actual achievements) and hope that you can go further from there.
or if you talk via skype and the other person changed there status, you can open your conversation with that. overall, if you know the person or what she is/was doing, then you should find plenty of ways to start the conversation interestingly. because let's be honest: saying hi and asking how things are going is often incredibly awkward, and it's not easy to transition into a better subject. though I suppose it's still an easy way to start a conversation, and it can work just aswell.
in the end, you already possess the most important thing: the will to do it. as long as you want to learn it, you will succeed at it. because just like most things in life, it all comes down to training.
