My request is quite simple, and i'll try to make this post as brief as possible: I'd like (and probably most of the people with a mistaken flag out there) a toggle for the profile flag.

Regardless of why the flag shown is mistaken, be it an ISP issue, proxy use (yeah, some people use those, it doesn't necessarily has to do with osu!), or plain aesthetics; no one can deny this thread: t/45505 has been in hiatus for several months, and the people in it been ignored (me included)

If giving the ability to choose flag could (and probably would) be abused, I'd like you to consider at least a toggle to hide it, while we wait (probably forever) the flag to be fixed.

That's all, thanks for reading.

Edit:

You might add [web] to the title since "toggle" makes ppl think about in-game feature. And this way peppy goes to you with a baseball bat
Done, thanks.

Anyways I think this option will be useful.

I'll be happy to help out in that thread if the devs allow me to.

I'd like to think they -can't- do it, in which case reading that would make me glad. The issue is the following:

Closing this thread would cause many new threads to be creates. It's better to have people post in here and nothing done.

Reasons to not allow users control over their flag:
* japan's population would double.

Reasons they aren't updated by us:
* it's hard to tell which ones are actually serious.
* the ones automatically provided *are* accurate to the country (you are using a foreign provider or a proxy if it is wrong).
* there are a lot of requests.
All stated by peppy here, is indeed the truth. There are lots of fake ones, or even people who directly didn't read the first post at all. Thing is, asking a cap along with the request should cut fake request to at least one third (if not completely)

Which takes me to the parts I made bold in the quote: "it's better to have people post here and nothing done" "there are a lot of requests".
Well, it stands to logic that if no one does anything for the thread, flags are bound to pile up. All in all, it just seems doing nothing is easier, and once again I agree.

But that sucks for me, and all the naive people still posting there.

Well, if someone finally starts to do something they will eventually disappear, and I don't think ~5 request/day is that much. Just need to fulfill the current ones, thats all.
