Hello~
Modding via M4M with tutuhaha.
All suggestions, I hope it's helpful.
[General]
Rename the bg image to something more pretty please.
Maybe a "J-rock" tag?
[Easy]
00:08:559 (4) - NC
00:10:303 (1) - Remove NC
This makes more sense lyrically as the 4 and 1 here are part of the same verse.
00:14:838 (1,2,3,4) - Here we are in the same verse as 00:12:047 (1,2,3,4) but we have a different pattern. I think you should repeat the same pattern again here, it will fit the vocals better and be easier for beginners to read.
00:14:838 to 00:17:280
00:39:257 (3) - I just wish we could hit along with the vocals in this kiai time. I think it would make this difficulty much more enjoyable for a beginner. The vocals are so strong here. I suggest shortening the 3 to end at 00:39:605 and then moving the 00:40:303 (1) to 00:39:954 so that we get to hit a slider on that vocal accent. As of now we are hitting our new combos after the vocals hit, so it feel like we're delayed.
I understand that you may not have mapped to the vocals here, but I feel like it would make it much more powerful. So I'll just give some suggestions.
00:41:001 - Add a circle
00:41:350 (2) - Replace with two 1/2 beat sliders
00:43:094 (1) - Move to 00:42:745
00:43:791 - Add a circle
00:45:187 (1) - Delete this
00:45:187 - Add circle here
00:45:536 (1) - Add NC 1/2 beat slider
I think it would be much more intuitive for a beginner to play.
Please consider a similar rhythm in this second kiai time also.
00:58:791 (3) - Finish?
01:11:350 (2) - Move center point to 256,204 to make blanket perfect.
01:16:233 (1,1) - Can we make these blanket?
01:21:466 (1) - I don't like starting the new verse on this slider repeat it feels bad. I think a different rhythm would feel nicer here. Try this:
01:21:815 (1) to 01:26:698 (4)
This section is unique and I think this rhythm fits it better.
02:20:768 (2,3) - Can we make it so these don't overlap a bit?
02:28:094 - See in this kiai time we hit along with the vocals perfectly and it feels great. Can you consider something similar in the other kiai times?
[Normal]
00:22:512 (2) - Maybe replace with two 1/2 beat sliders for a greater build up.
00:46:931 (1) - Shorten to 00:47:280 and add a circle at 00:47:454 so we can play along with that drum kick nicely.
01:42:745 (1) - ^
00:50:943 - This is confusing. We are following the vocals up to this point with 00:48:326 (1,2,3,1,2,3) but then we have this gap at 00:50:943. The vocals continue at that point but we wait to hit a slider instead. Move 00:51:117 (1) to 00:50:943 and extend its tail so it ends at 00:52:164.
01:46:931 (1) - ^
03:04:198 - ^
01:20:768 - The gap is really confusing after the patterns before it. A circle here connecting the 01:20:245 (5) and 01:20:943 (6) would feel better. I always want to hit the 6 early.
02:41:873 - The vocal verse continues here but 02:42:047 (1) falls later, it's confusing. You need to remove this gap.
02:43:268 - ^
02:27:396 (6) - How about replacing this with two 1/2 beat sliders flowing into the 02:28:094 (1)?
I probably missed some things. It's a really good difficulty, but complicated. Please consider how the sliders are following the vocals at parts.
[Hard]
00:16:059 (1,2) - This jump is super confusing and breaks our flow. Why can't we repeat what we did at 00:13:443 (1,2,3,4) that felt so nice. Either reposition the 2 so we don't break flow, or move the 1 to 00:16:233 and add a circle at 00:16:059 like you did in the previous verse. The latter would give us the new combo on the down beat which is nice.
00:24:257 (3) - Would feel better as a 1/2 beat slider leading to the 00:24:605 (1) IMO.
00:27:047 (3) - ^
00:34:024 (4,1) - This anti jump is really uncomfortable to play. Why not just decrease SV through his section to achieve the same effect without having to break flow like this?
00:48:850 (2) - Move this to 00:49:024 so we can follow that drum line nicely, which is what I'm assuming you wanted to do here.
00:50:071 (2) - Delete this
00:50:419 - Add circle
01:21:815 (1) - I think this might be a bit too hidden by the 01:20:943 (4) slider track.
01:29:838 (1) - Remove NC
01:30:187 (5) - NC
01:31:233 (1) - Remove NC
01:31:582 (4) - NC
It makes more sense lyrically.
01:32:105 (2,3) - Again this jump is super awkward. Can you ctrl-g the 01:32:105 (2) to make it flow better?
02:27:396 (1,2) - I don't agree with this jump. Maybe 2 small repeating sliders would be better to accent the drum line.
02:29:489 (1,4) - Are you sure the 4 isn't too hidden?
[Kiiwa]
:O
00:01:233 (3,1,1) - Are you sure this sort of overlap is rankable?
The 00:02:280 (1) is almost entirely covered by the previous hitburst.
00:09:082 (1,2,3,4,5) - This rhythm is silly......it sounds awful. You need to remove the repeat from 00:09:082 (1) and extend it so it ends at 00:09:431. That or do something different here, maybe with some sliders.
00:12:047 (1) - No clap? :O
00:14:838 (1) - ^
00:16:233 (1) - ^
00:17:629 (1) - ^
00:29:838 (3) - It would feel better if you shorten this slider to end at 00:30:187 and then added a circle at 00:30:361. It just fits the music more intuitively.
00:44:140 (1) - If you're going to NC here then your should also NC at 00:38:559 (4).
00:48:326 (5) - NC here for a better build up. You can remove the NC at 00:48:675 (1) or I guess it's fine with it too.
01:44:140 (5) - ^
00:50:943 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - You need to rethink these sections. Right now they feel really awkward. The vocals are long and flowing here and you follow that beautifully with the sliders at 00:48:675 (1,3,4). Why not continue that here? As it is now at 00:50:943 we stop that nice flow and have to play with our eyes and not our ears. It could be much better.
01:46:757 - ^
00:53:210 (1,2) - These aren't following anything in the music, they might be better as just 1/2 beat sliders.
01:49:024 (1,2) - ^
01:21:117 (1) - Please remove a repeat from this slider and add a circle at 01:21:640 and at 01:21:815 so we can hit a circle and have a NC on that downbeat. The repeat feels awful.
01:30:536 - Add a circle here stacked on the 01:30:710 (1) for better syncopation. It would be easier to read.
02:07:164 (5,6,7) - This part feels strange because we're breaking the pattern that you followed just before it. I suggest this rhythm to make it flow much better:
02:06:815 (4) to 02:08:559 (1)
02:09:257 - Feels like a circle missing here to follow the drums. No need for the gap.
03:04:198 (1) - Remove NC
03:04:373 (2) - NC
New verse is at 03:04:373 (2)
03:17:978 (3) - NC? Tutuhaha does it in his diffs.
You should think about how the rhythms are fitting here.
I love your Flashback map btw. :3
Just saying.
[AngelHoney]
Awesome map :O
I could play this map all day.
02:38:908 (7) - No stream here into a slider at 02:39:257?
Just minor things that can be noticed when playing.
02:59:489 (3) - Maybe stack on the 02:58:617 (10)?
00:45:187 (7) - Why not stack on 00:45:884 (2)?
Other places also.
03:17:978 (3) - NC? Stays consistant with Tutuhaha's diffs.
I think you could afford to add some wacky sliders like in Tutuhaha's insane. As of now your diff has nothing in common with his really.
[Remake]
OMG so fun <3.
00:20:419 - This stream is awesome, don't get me wrong, but it's just so early in the map. When you have the most difficult section of the beatmap so early on, many players will be unable to pass it, and they won't get to see the rest of your map without no-fail on. I think it will just make a lot of players frustrated with your map for the wrong reasons. Maybe you could consider decreasing the spacing towards the end of the stream a bit.
02:28:966 (3) - This overlap here is really awkward, can you move the 3 somewhere else?
02:46:059 (3) - Stack on 02:44:489 (3)?
I wouldn't change much.
Anyways, amazing maps. I can't wait to try and FC this when it's ranked.
I'll leave star. <3
