Hi and welcome to the second edition of the 4k Benelux Mania Tournament! It has been a long time since the first edition, which was in 2018 and I am happy to be able to announce that it's finally back for 2020! Just like it's predecessor, this tournament will give you the oppurtunity to show your skills in a regional locked environment consisting of Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg. I wish you good luck and happy keyboard mashing!.

Dates

Here are the current planned dates for the tournament! These dates are subject to change and a host will notify players via Discord if it does.
Registration Phase: 17/03 - 17/04 23:59 UTC+2
Qualifier Showcase: 18/04 - 19/04
Qualifier Stage: 25/04 - 26/04
Round of 32: 02/05 - 03/05

Registration Form
Discord Server

After successfully completing these steps, you will be registered for the tournament!
If, by any chance, there are problems with your registration, we will contact you and provide further instructions.

Also please note that restricted and/or banned players are not allowed to participate in the tournament and will be immediately disqualified with no exceptions.

Qualifier Stage

The Qualifier Stage will be played in the first week of tournament play to eliminate the amount of players down to a preferred number, being the closest possible multiplication of 4 (4, 8, 12, 16, etc...). If the amount of participants exceeds 32, everyone ranked worse than #32 in the Qualifier Stage will be eliminated.

This stage consists of 5 predetermined maps, each testing a different skillset in an attempt to accurately rank players in performance and will be released approximately one week before the stage. Players will play all 5 maps twice in a scheduled lobby. The highest score of both attempts of every map will be counted. A referee will invite you 5 minutes before the scheduled time and will provide you with further instructions. There will be no warm ups in the Qualifier Stage, so please warm up before your lobby starts.

Player performances will be ranked according to the average rank of the player across all 5 maps. In case of a tie, the player with the higher total score will be on top. This means that you essentially will be playing against every other player of the tournament in this stage and not only the players in your lobby.

Bracket Stages

The Bracket Stages consists of a double-elimination bracket with the remaining players. Each stage, except the Grand Finals will feature a new mappool that gets released approximately one week before their respective stage. The size of the mappool will depend on the stage.

Round of 32: Best-of-7, first to 4 points wins. The mappool contains 10 freemod maps and 1 tiebreaker map.
Round of 16: Best-of-9, first to 5 points wins. The mappool contains 12 freemod maps and 1 tiebreaker map.
Quarterfinals: Best-of-9, first to 5 points wins. The mappool contains 12 freemod maps and 1 tiebreaker map.
Semifinals: Best-of-11, first to 6 points wins. The mappool contains 14 freemod maps and 1 tiebreaker map.
Finals: Best-of-11, first to 6 points wins. The mappool contains 14 freemod maps and 1 tiebreaker map.
Grand Finals: Best-of-11, first to 6 points wins. The mappool contains 14 freemod maps and 1 tiebreaker map.

Match Procedures

  1. A referee will create a multiplayer room 10 minutes in advance. Players must gather during this period.
  2. The room settings are mania, Head-to-head, ScoreV2.
  3. The room name must be "BNL: (Player A) vs (Player B)".
  4. Each player is free to select up to one warm-up map. Using beatmaps with questionable content is prohibited. All maps must be osu!mania 4K specific maps and have a drain time of 4:00 or less.
  5. Each player must use "!roll" once in #multiplayer. The winner of the !roll decides if they want to pick first and ban first, or pick second and ban second.
  6. Each player must ban one map from the pool excluding the tiebreaker map. These maps are not allowed to be picked by any player in the entire match.
  7. Map picks will alternate between each player untill either one player wins the match or both players need one more point to win the match. In the latter case, the tiebreaker will be played.
