Hidden Score multiplier?

Hey,

I would like to know if the score multiplier increase when we add the hidden mods on mania ? Because it doesn't change anything when I activate it. If it's supposed to, can someone help me fix this problem !

No mod increases multiplier in mania. You can only increase pp gained through using double time.

Nope. As a Hidden player its a little bit of a slap in the face, but ultimately hidden doesnt make charts harder. (outside of SVs anyway, but thats a different mess entirely that SR basically ignores).

Actually, HD does increase score (and pp) slightly. It reduces how much the bonus value goes down after getting a 200/100/50. The closer the play is to a perfect play, the less noticeable is the score bonus from using HD (the opposite of what would happen if HD gave more score because of a score multiplier).

id hardly call hidden a self-cripple. theres subjective benefits and detriments to using it. The implementations for it on Etterna and Quaver have literally 0 impact on scoring and have quite a bit more customization for how its used. Its more of a tool than a self-crippling options and ultimately doesn't have much of an impact on playing most charts (outside of some SV charts) once you're accustomed to reading it.
