So I stopped really playing osu about a year ago, but every time I try to pick it up again, I keep getting frustrated at how much my mouse accuracy has decreased relative to my visual perception.
Well, first off, I think playing osu has two parts: seeing the beats and actually hitting the beats. When you first start playing osu those two skills are about the same level. You miss beats because they were too fast where couldn't determine the timing or keep up, and your mouse accuracy isnt quite good enough either. But as you play more, clear harder and harder songs, they both improve at about the same pace and you could really feel yourself getting better. However, the two skills seem to decline in entirely different rates.
So before I stopped, I think i got to the point where I can clear most hard and insane songs on the first try, but I stopped playing because of various reasons, not because I didn't like game anymore though. Whenever I tried playing osu again, I could see beats but I couldn't hit them. I know when, where, and how to hit each beat, but I just couldn't get my mouse to hit them! That is the most frustrating part, where you feel and you know you can hit the beats, but your hand just says 'nope'. And it's even more discouraging failing songs that I can easily get A's and S's before. I tried tweaking mouse sensitivity but that didn't really help much. After a few plays I would just blame my mouse pad(lol) and stop playing again.
Anyone else have same experience or tips?
