Should I switch to Linux(?) and which dist could you recommend?

I would suggest switching to GNU/Linux yes, but for the distro it depends on what you're going to do with your PC.
Also before doing the switch check if your programs/games can run on Linux, some don't like the ones with the anticheat like Fortnite or Apex.
