Songs Mapping request feature

hello everyone i hope you are all doing fine

so i was wondering if there is a way for players to request mappers to make maps for certains songs , i looked around the forum and i couldnt find any ,it would be really helpful if there was such feature where people can actually make requests for certain music in which songs that has a lot of requests would be showcased for qualified mappers or mappers in general to be creative and make the best beatmap that suit these sons

there is a way to do that: by asking people directly

the problem with what you're suggesting is that mapping is hard work and most of us don't want to put all that effort into a song some random person apparently wants a map of

also if a significant number of people want to see a map of a song there's a high chance there are also mappers who want to map it even without any requests so that's pretty pointless too

god im imagining a map request subforum filled with threads with no replies and eventually people complaining about selfish mappers ignoring their requests. just thinking about it makes me shiver
