Pianist request
Osu!mania being the newest feature of osu, is a great concept, and it is really fun to use, but i cant seem to be able to get used to the keyboard in this mode, i was trying to find out a way to connect my piano keyboard to osu with the USB cable it includes, i can use the piano properly, but there is no way i can link it to osu... my recommendation would be adding support for keyboards just life done with wiimotes, pads and TaTacon drums

I think it should be possible to use Autohotkey to create a script that catches piano inputs and assigns them to your osu!mania key bindings. Will require some documentation reading and testing though.

Requires recognizing midi inputs, I remember there was an old program that took midi inputs from devices and allowed you to output keystrokes and program launches...

Had all 49keys tied to program launches XD

But all this is kinda redundant when theres synthesia?

Since we're here, I might as well ask if there is beatmaniaIIDX/pop'n music controller compatibility, and if there isn't, I might request it. Playing osu!m on a pop'n music pad sounds exquisite.

Keyboards these days use USB? Cool, I'm definitely out of the music loop.

Had my keystation since 05 so Id say you been out of it for awhile...

If you can get it to detect as a joystick, try JoyToKey:

I managed to get my IIDX controller working with osu!mania using that. All I need is a IIDX skin and I'm set!

Example of mapping the C3 to the Q letter. Just SS'd an easy with it.

actually, I don't think you'll be able to press the individual keys as fast as the fastest mechanical keyboards.

Edit: I mean: with the help of a program external to osu, if it does not work... Then it will not work, no biggie.
