Okay, so while I heard that Osu! is being developed for Android and IOS devices.. Here is what I want it to be like when ported;
The 4 modes.
Osu!standard is controlled just like Osu!Stream (Remember that?), except there is no requirement of 2 hands for the notes that were exclusive for it.
Osu!Taiko is controlled like there's a drum on the screen and you tap parts of it to the beat.. I think it's been done or something, I don't know.
Osu!Catch has touchscreen UI controls, for stuff like your Left hand is used for moving and the right can dash. There would be an option to swap the controls for the hands for those who like it.
Osu!Mania can just control with your Fingers, recommended to use Ring and Index fingers for 4K but it is what you think really, you're allowed to use it with any finger of your choice. You have all the other key modes and you still have fingers of choice. Not to mention, the hitboxes for when you are going to tap a not will fill an entire portion of the screen, and the notes will be easier to read with a place that tells you to put your fingers low on the screen to read easier.
Other "Priority" things, for certain.
Skins are downloadable from it's own category! Just share a skin there and you can download it. And you could also carry your progress on your account from the PC version (And vice versa) which would also be cool as I can just carry over my data on the Computer and it will have my skins, records, and beatmaps! (Carries ALL your beatmaps, regardless if it's ranked or not, or if it's not submitted at all)
Beatmaps are downloadable from it's own category similar to Osu!Lazer, and you can download any beatmap from the servers. You can also find .Osz files from Safari and you can open them in Osu! on mobile devices, just find the .Osz that isn't uploaded, click the "Open with Osu!" option and you'll get it. You can also download it off of Discord and Trello, and any other site really.
Mapping.
Basically, mapping works different on Osu!Mobile, at least so that you wouldn't require the PC version to map.
So basically, while you can't download MP3 files on IOS like on a PC or Android, you can just pop a YouTube video link into some bar, it identifies the video and then gives you the option if you're fine with how it is or you can edit it with multiple Sound-editing options like Audacity. You can trim, change speed, cut, and more with the Built-in Sound Editor for Osu!Mobile. When you're finished, you can save the audio and you can get to the Metadata setup like in the PC version. You then do the rest and such and yeah. There is also other ways to get mp3s on IOS devices such as going onto Trello or Discord and just bring the MP3 onto Osu!, in which you'll be able to start mapping.
On IOS, these are the MP3 links that it would support when importing:
Youtube links
Soundcloud links
Discord Mp3 links
Trello mp3 attachment links
And anything else in general, I suppose.
Which means in anything, I can just find a song and just start mapping it on Osu!Mobile right away without having to go on my computer just to map!
Then we enter the main part of mapping, which is placing the notes. Mapping on mobile works differently than on Computer, as if it used the Computer mapping screen, the mapping board would be too small for those with stuff like iPhones. So it looks different to fit the size of said device, if you have stuff like an iPad Air or something, it'd be big enough to map the right way, for Phones.. It would look different, like it won't just squeeze the iPad screen so that you can map, right?
Then when you finished mapping a difficulty or something, you can then open up a tab similar to the PC version where you can make a new difficulty and such and everything else, except on mobile since you can't do everything a PC player can, you also have the option beside new difficulties to make Rates for Maps, just make sure you have a correct BPM for the song for it to work properly. You can give the map what times the speed of the audio you want, and you can choose any number from x1.0 to x2.0 and you got a rate, it copies any difficulty of your choice for it. (Then it also applies to PC users so that making rates for maps is less complex, i'm a nice person) Not to mention, Live mapping is actually better on Mobile devices and it is also fixed on PC if you want to recreate maps yourself and such quicker and more accurately.
Then after finishing everything you want for the map, you can upload it or have it in your inventory, not to mention Mobile has it's own way of downloading .Osz files as you don't download it, but you can share the beatmap privately on Discord and Trello and other sites without sharing it. And it works as a link to downloading it on any device too!
So really, there just is a lot of suggestions to dream for a Mobile version of Osu!, the concept would be so good that when it is put into action, i'd do it anytime. So much ideas that I can't fit it all into this already-big wishlist. But I can still give more suggestions I guess.
-Audio files for .Osz files can be changed anytime, whether you made a mistake on it, you can revert the audio to how it was originally and fix it from scratch.
-Mapping autosaves, and it applies to PC too.
-A lot more, use your imagination.
That's all for my Osu!Mobile suggestions, I hope it happens sometime soon.. Thank you for reading and have a good day! Bye.
