Hello and welcome to the third editon of the osu!European Tournament!
The 3rd iteration of the osu!European Tournament has arrived, with a couple tweaks, changed bracket ranges (including a new one!) and the opportunity to team up with people ranked higher and lower than you!

Registration phase: 30th December - 19th January
Screening phase (More information about it can be found here, you must have the site's language set as English to be able to see it though.): 20th January - 3rd February
Qualifier Stage: 8th-9th February
Captains reveal: 10th February
Teams Drafting: 16th February
Round Of 16: 22nd February-23rd February
Quarterfinals and Loser's Bracket Round 1: 29th February-1st March
Semifinals and Loser's Bracket Round 2 and 3: 7th March-8th March
Winner's Bracket Finals and Loser's Bracket Round 4 and 5: 14th March-15th March
Loser's Finals + Grand Finals: 22nd March-23rd March

The score system used in this tournament will be Score V2.
Only players from the Europe Region may sign up to this tournament. You may find a list of European countries here. If you wish to enter this tournament while the flag your profile page has isn't listed here, you can contact me over Discord to discuss the matter.
Mappools and schedule for a weekend will be released on the Monday prior to that weekend, exceptions being exceptional circumstances or all matches that concluded early.
There will be 4 rank ranges for this tournament: Rank 1 to 2.499; Rank 2.500 to 7.499; Rank 7.500 to 14.999; Rank 15.000 to 30.000.
You will sign up for this tournament as a solo: you cannot form a team while registering.
This tournament will feature the Badge Weighting System, or BWS and use the following formula: rank^(0.9937^(badges^2)).
As this tournament might award a badge to the winning team, any member on the staff list is not allowed to participate. An exception is made for streamers, commentators and designers.
This tournament is a Drafted Teams of 8 players each. Every team will be formed by 2 players from each range. A drafting stream will be held for the occasion.
Once all teams are formed, a Challonge bracket will be made and shuffled.
A referee will be assigned to every match/lobby. Invites can be sent up to 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled match time.
During the matches, each team must have one player from each tier in the room. In the case a whole tier is unable to play, a lower tier player can fill in. This rule doesn't apply for tier 4 - in which case the match can be either rescheduled or forfeited.
Anyone participating in this tournament (including staff) must have common decency, and not be overly toxic for no reason, otherwise a ban from the tournament will be enforced.
Only in the first 30 seconds of a map can the map be retried if anything hindering happens such as a disconnect. If anything happens after this, whether it is a disconnect or lags, the map will not be replayed.
A Qualifiers Stage will be held to determine the 32 players that will access the Team Phase (according to the amount of sign-ups. Its mappool will follow the format 3 NM/2 HD/2 HR/2 DT.
Pools have been reduced to a FreeMod, ForceMod and DoubleTime Freemod modpools format. Their sizes will vary as the tournament goes on. There will always be one Tiebreaker map though.
There will be 1 pool per stage.
Winner's Bracket and Loser's Bracket will always play on the newest pool.
Failed scores will count.
Teams will be allowed to ban 1 map per match up to Quarterfinals and Loser's Round 1, and 2 maps from Semifinals and onward. However, they cannot ban two maps from the same mod pool, with the exception of Freemod.
Every map will be played with Freemod or DoubleTime Freemod. Mod picking will be applied under certain circumstances.
During a FreeMod pick, it is not mandatory to select mods - regular rules still apply.
During a ForceMod pick, it is mandatory for at least 2 players to select at least one mod. At least one HardRock and one Hidden mod must be selected. Tolerated mod combinaisons are Hidden, HardRock and Hidden+HardRock. Hidden is allowed on DoubleTime pick. Easy and Flashlight are not allowed, and won't receive any specific multiplier.
During a DoubleTime Freemod pick, it is not mandatory to select any other mod - regular rules still apply.
The team that rolls highest will pick first and ban second.
Ban alternation is used (Lower rolling team bans one map first, then the higher rolling team bans one map, then the lower rolling, then the higher rolling).
Always remember that this is just a game (I.e behave yourself while the match is ongoing).
If a team fails to show up to a match, the other team will be granted a win. If neither teams show up to a match, the match will be rescheduled to a later time. Your team has 10 minutes to show up.
The winning condition for each stage is:
1. RO32: Best-Of-7 (First to 4 points wins)
2. RO16, Quarterfinals and Loser's Bracket Round 1: Best-Of-9 (First to 5 points wins)
3. Semifinals and Loser's Bracket Round 2 and 3: Best-Of-11 (First to 6 points wins)
4. Winner's Bracket Finals, Loser's Bracket Round 4 and 5 + Loser's Bracket Finals and Grand Finals: Best-Of-13 (First to 7 points wins)
