Basically, I just wanted to make a forum discussing new ideas for additions for osu! gameplay. I was bored one day, so I decided to come up with some new ideas for gameplay within osu! These will include new types of circles, sliders, and spinners. Please note that these will probably never be implemented into the game, and I never expected them to in making this forum. This was simply a fun experiment to see your reactions and get your advice. So please don't go commenting that these are terrible ideas. I know that they are. Also, although there is a rule for not having multiple requests in a single forum, please not that, once again, I never expect to have these added in-game. Therefore, these are not requests, they are just fun IDEAS. (Uhhhh yeah I dont really know why I posted it in this forum but IDC). With that out of the way, here are my ideas!
Spinning Sliders:
So, this first idea would work like this:imagine you had a slider, but you had to spin around the slider while simultaneously following its path. This could be used as a rest area in a harder map, instead of using a boring old slider. It could also be utilized in many other fun ways. It also contains all the other elements of a slider, including the different shapes and reverse arrows. However, they cannot really be used in high star maps. If you thought that was crazy, just wait for the other entries on my list!
Reverse Spinners:
This is a fun and simple idea that I feel could easily be added into the game. It is basically like the reverse arrow for sliders, except when one appears around a spinner, you must spin the spinner in the opposite direction. Note that the arrow is omni-directional, meaning that it is pointing in two directions. If you started going left, you must spin right at a reverse spinner arrow. However, at the same point in that map, at the same spinner, if you are spinning right, you must spin left. This could be used multiple times within one spinner. Also, you won't die upon not reversing the spinner immediately. You'll actually just remove some of your spinning progress, just like if you go backwards while completing a normal spinner. As a side note, these can be combined with spinning sliders.
Combo Circles:
This one may actually be the simplest of all of the ideas on this list. So, a combo circle would just be one big circle with a number on it. That number would indicate the number of times that you must click on that single circle. The accuracy of the circle would be dependent on the speed of completion of the circle. For easier maps, this could be used as practice for clicking faster, which could lead to help when dealing with streams.
Soooooooo, that is the end of this long and confusing list. Not to mention that it is completely useless. Nevertheless, I hope that you all found it interesting. Tell me what you thought below(if you stayed with me till the end). Let me know if you'd like to see another list on new ideas for mods in the comments!Anyways, peace.
Oh and BTW I might have made a typo here and there, as I quickly wrote and revised this. I may also add to this as my ideas are created, and if I just get bored again.
