1) What role and faction do you prefer to play as, and why?
2) Are you up for lynching lurkers?
3) Do you believe in using meta as a scumhunting tool?
4) How often do you plan to post in the thread?

My answers:
1) Any role/faction with communication with others. (Masons/Scum) It's fun to discuss tactics with someone else.
2) Yes if they are lurking or purpose, or if we have nothing else to go on.
3) No. Meta changes per game. (Some people though have consistent meta.)
4) Once per two days at the very least.

My answers:
1) Any role as an independent faction. I like the freedom you get being alone, your choices won't affect anyone else on your team.
2) Only if I can't see any reason to suspect another person
3) No. I believe every game is separate, people could change play styles and the like but that won't mean that they are scummy or otherwise. I prefer to work on a game-by-game basis.
4) Around once a day, only inhibited if uni work catches up on me.

Of course, they might not change but in that case they could use that as an excuse. For example, a mafia could say they always have neutral opinions, if meta was to be believed they could fly under the radar and use it as an excuse to not vote other mafia members.

That's why I like to take each one in isolation.

1) I guess I'll say it now. I really like being Town, it's relaxing and I don't really like lieing to begin with. It's fun really.
2) 50-50. There's often a chance that said lurker might actually be Mafia but in terms of stating in general, I'm really against it.
3) No. Actually, hold that thought. Possibly. If it was answering questions like these, then I would use previous answers as a scumhunting tool, other than that, nothing really.
4) As often as I can, which is whenever I don't get my modem taken off me or when I don't have school since they block osu.ppy.sh

Town, because when I'm mafia I suck at hiding it (see last game I was in)

That depends on whether the active people are suspicious. If they aren't, I'm for it because it's more likely the lurkers are mafia.

Generally it can be used nicely, but some people do strange things thus making it not work. :?

I dislike being Mafia, trying the hardest to blend in with town is too difficult for me.
I dislike being anti-town/neutral, same reason as above, especially if the winning condition is last man standing.
I like being pro-town power roles, it keeps me motivated to be active more.
Vanilla Townie... meh.

It should be useful, but lately, the mete-as-scumhunting has really proven itself wrong in the other mafia games.
Works sometimes, but rarely.

1) I value information so probably roles like mason, stalker, cop, mafia etc...
2) Depends heavily on the situation + I haven't played many mafia games/been put into a position where I felt like voting a lurker. As of right now, my answer is no. I don't think I'd be up to lynching lurkers
3)I don't think it's such a good idea, borderline pointless. However I'm still new to this game so I might be a bit bias (ie: I have yet to see it help)

You don't know who I am. Then again, I don't know who you are. So it may not be the best idea to vote someone that's new to the osu! Mafia games.

Also, to answer your question, I don't really care what role I'm in. Usually, it ends up getting me killed. Do I care? No. Mistakes happen.

If you want to lynch me, go ahead. You won't be gaining anything from it, though.

Why the defeatist attitude? If you really don't want to be lynched then try to do so - defend yourself. Don't just go around telling people that lynching you would be useless without a reason behind it. It makes it look worse that way.

Why so apathetic? Unless you're mafia or some thirdparty/alt win condition besides town, I don't understand why you'd say something like this. This is probably your first mafia game in a while, so I find it hard to believe that you'd give up on the game so soon (unless you really are mafia and you can't think of anyway to get out of this). Understand this: if you are town you are NOT helping when you allow yourself to be lynched. It might be inevitable/seem hopeless but you should try to fight against a mislynch vs catalyzing one

Right now you're coming off as a really bad mafia (failing to avoid looking suspicious)...or a bad town (actions are harmful to town)

Thanks for stating the obvious. I find it interesting you didn't mention the possibility of being independent. For all I know this could be a ploy to draw attention away from that fact.

Look, I'm agreeing with what Rolled said in a previous game about not being suspicious as a town because you're not benefiting them nor are you benefiting yourself.

I'm not sure if you've noticed, but stating WIFOM this early in the game doesn't help you nor does it help anyone. It gives townies a false sense of lynching and the mafia, a free kill. Providing that you are town of course.

I agree that Swiftwolf is suspicious, but I have a gut feeling that he's not mafia.

I think it's a bit suspicious that Lilac jumped up and said "he's not a Jester" instead of "I don't think he's a Jester", however I'm not quite sure what to think about him yet. :?

Also, from what I've seen in the previous games, the most active people are usually the mafia. Now, this is a good and bad thing, because I'm one of the most active. Just throwing that out there to those that have any suspicions of any player including myself.

It's quite possible that both of us are mafia. Sure, it'd be a big loss if we voted ourselves off, but to make our suspicions a bit lower, we could simply vote each other off. I've done that before. I applaud you for catching on to that tactic.


I will have you people know that mistakes do happen and what I did was a serious failure. By the looks of it, D1 is about to end faster than expected, but losses are to be made sooner or later, and sometimes, it's better to make those losses sooner than necessary.

I don't seem to get the Nightkill choice.
Haneii was the one who seemed most suspicious as she quick-hammered Swift.
After Haneii, I would prefer a MB lynch on the count of the odd phrasing of what he said.

I don't get the NK choice either, it seems weird to me. Oh well~

Anyway, it might not seem like I was discussing much, but at that point I actually brought everything I had to the table. At that point in day 1, it is too early for me to figure anything out objectively, so I just voted based off a gut instinct.

At this point, I presume there are either 2 or 3 mafia. 3 mafia seems a bit much for a 9-person game IMO, so I'll go with 2 mafia, meaning we have one more free lynch before LYLO.

I'm not sure I like how NoHItter is trying to make Lilac look suspicious, when Lilac previously FoS'ed him. This might not really be valid, but I've got a gut feeling NoHitter is mafia, so I vote NoHItter

Hmm I honestly will not understand what was going through Swift's mind... better still the NK choice.

Anyway, looking at what's in front of us I'm not liking how Lilac is treating everything in absolutes or nonchalantly. I get the feeling he either knows something or is trying to stay as neutral as possible.

I merely said "Haneii is suspicious because she hammered."

Setting up a dichotomy is wrong as you basically limit it to two choices - basically a False Dilemma. What I want to know is how you arrived at that dichotomy conclusion.

That is not always true. There are many cases where town vote first.
That's exactly why I disagree on the use of meta from other games. What happens in one game doesn't necessarily apply in other games.

That's fine, I knew it was probably a selfish thing to blame all of it on NoHItter. I wish there were some aux roles that we know to help us...

All right, I find it really odd that Quaraezha made a bunch of posts day 1 and hasn't posted anything at all in day 2. Also, he kept voting and unvoting Swiftwolf on day 1.

I'd also like to hear from Kiddo-Kun and DxS. :?

I think we probably should.

If I had to name two people as mafia right now it'd be NoHItter and Quaraezha. Actually now that I realize it Quaraezha seems more suspicious to me than NoHItter, so unvote NoHItter, vote Quaraezha

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say Lilac and DxS.

Lilac because of my previously mentioned points.

DxS because all he's done is make one bandwagon vote.

There isn't much to work on but that's how it stands with me right now.

Anywho...Haneii's death seems almost random though I can see why mafia targeted her because of how aggressive she played back in Day 1.

If anything I have to say at the moment Player Q's rather dodgy actions lately seems to suggest he "could be mafia" otherwise I don't have much thoughts at this point.

I initially thought NoHItter was Mafia. I was dead certain on voting for him if he said anything that would be scummy.

He didn't though, which made me reconsider my options at this point in time. I want to play really aggressively on this one as if you aren't being decisive, you aren't helping anyone you're just WIFOMing. (I still can't talk though.)

First of all, Kiddo-Kun seems way too inactive for my tastes. I also strongly dislike his reason for not participating day 1. Even if Swiftwolf wasn't making good decisions, hiding like that means we have less information to go on in the future.

I can't get any good reads on DxS. Though DxS, how do you know Lilac isn't mafia? (or are you both mafia ;) ) Also, he asked if no one noticed that Quaraezha hadn't posted day 2 when I noticed it first. However, what he said about Lilac makes me think that either he's a cop, or that Lilac is a Friendly Neighbor.

Rantai was the person I was suspicious of first. Then on day 2 he said Lilac was suspicious, but didn't vote until someone else voted for Quaraezha. Perhaps he was trying to stay neutral, as to avoid suspicion. :?

I can't get any good reads on Lilac either, but I think it's a bit dangerous how he voted someone right at the start of day 3. (Unless, of course, Rantai is mafia, which I'm inclined to say is true) He also tried to make a setup day 1 ("one of these two people is mafia") which turned out to be entirely wrong. o.o

Anyway, I really want to hear about why DxS "knows" Lilac is not mafia. :? Also, I think we should be sure about it before voting someone today. FoS'ing Kiddo-Kun and Rantai because they're at the top of my list, for now. v_v

It's simple.

Whoever made the two NKs were killing the most suspicious people off. Which is pretty bad for the Mafia as they have to make town kill the each other...

So it's obviously people who are either not in touch with the thread or are REALLY bad at playing mafia.

Oh yeah, I've figured out why Kiddo isn't the Mafia. He's the Friendly Neighbour, not me.

nothing happened to me during the Night round (that I'm aware of) o.o why would you think that?

In that case, Kiddo-kun is innocent, leaving you, Rantai, and DxS. I'm inclined to say Rantai and DxS at this point. What does everyone else think?
